turbo timers arent needed for stock turbos just an fyi

only needed for just oil cooled turbos
our cars are oil/coolant cooled so no need for a turbo timer

Yep, I rock my APEXi timer. People always say "excuse me you left your car running", and then I like to pretend I'm Chriss Angel..

after my engine got pulled apart, there were a few issues;

1) i had a blown HG

2) due to a blown HG, the water got into the piston and started rusting on the piston walls

3) my valves were slapping on the head due to worn out valve springs

now im looking at honing the sleeves, getting new rings/pistons and valve springs... so, originally thinking that it was just gonna be HG's ($800~) its turning out to be closer to $1500~

If anyone wants a 2004 ej257 with some top end damage let me know. I have the complete motor I would be willing to sell for 2k. You won't even find a short block for that. Might be good for a project build or for spare parts for race teams. I am in need of some cash and would like to get rid of this motor as it is doing me no good right now. The motor is still assembled so I do not know the extent of the damage other then the drivers side cam gear is broken. Would be sold as is. Might be willing to consider trading for a late 90s early 2000 motorcycle 600cc in running condition plus cash on either end depending.

did u really just say u wont find a shortblock for 2k?

shortblocks are 1800$ new from subaru, and used not block go for around 1000$-1200$ with decent miles. 500$ or so blown.

I'm probably out tonight as well. Wife's got a school thing so I've got the dogs. Maybe if she's home early enough I'll see if I can make it up depending on who else is going.
