Had an 04/05 sti behind me on 97 with purple lights. Never seen that before on a subie! I think he honked as he got onto 100 but don knw if he heard me honk

Okay. There is a drive I don't envy. I see Subies everyday now that I'm over at NOB. I waved for a while, rarely of ever were any waves returned so now I give 0 *****.

The spotted thread has turned into the Metro DC/ nova spotted thread anyway.

Yea I have noticed the same trend over all. When I first got my car every Subie I saw waved. Now, not so much.

dont feel bad, i've been spotted like... once. i thought an 04 STI would get a little more attention, but the people i see either dont see me, arent on NASIOC, or my car is completely invisible.

i wave to people all the time and none of them ever wave. i see the same wrb bugeye on the way to work every day. i always wave. he never does. meh.

Waved at a newer red STi 5 door on 28 north this morning! Had tinted tails and an N1 style exhaust. License plate was "SLOW 5DR"

Just a moment a go waved at a black BRZ near Centreville on rte 28, he nodded back, he switched lanes and pulled next to me and then switched back, have no clue why he did that?! And I got harassed by a car full of teenagers for the STI "wing" right after the BRZ spot, kind of irked me out, but I just ignored it; I mean it's a give in that STI's with ginormous wings will get noticed, but I'm getting it more frequent lately. Does anyone else get this?

When I was wingless I hardly got looks. I was driving home from work one day and some kids said it wasn't even an STI because I didn't have a wing.
Now that the wing is back on I constantly get looks and stares. Especially from older dudes who look at me like wtf are you driving.. lol

kids (specifically teens) these days are overwhelmingly stupid. i get some stares, usually from economy car drivers. i like to imagine theyre thinking "

i wish MY car was fun to drive..."

thanks for the feedback, I was just caught of guard and annoyed by the antics of these little kids; there were a total of 5 individuals in the car and one passenger was yelling out the window (honestly I couldn't hear him, AC on) and then I turned around and half his freaking body was out the window yelling and trying to get my attention, I looked at him and when he knew he got my attention, he was yapping something and I just turned around and drove off, and then they pass me and he still yelling something at me. Mind you, I consider myself somewhat of an adult with two baby car seats in the back. haha. I just hope I wasn't that stupid and obnoxious at that age, back then, which I don't think I was, enough of my rant for today.

Have you seen the movie 21 Jump Street? They lay it out pretty satirically that the youth these days don't care about high horsepower or handling. They care about CO2 emissions and not punching gay black kids.

And he probably paid out the A$$ for it if thats Browns in Manassas. They wanted $42,??? for the exact same car I got at Stolhman for $37,482. They told me to leave and that they are not in the business of giving cars away but to make money LOL
