Default Infiniti Emerg-E Concept Revealed

The latest car to be leaked ahead of its Geneva Motor Show debut is the Infiniti Emerg-E concept. The electric sports car was previously revealed by leaked renderings (shown in the gallery below) released online two weeks ago.

The leaked photos of the Emerg-E concept show a low and wide sports car that bears a resemblance to supercars like the new McLaren MP4-12C and the Acura NSX concept. The front fascia wears the same polygonal grille that graces other new Infiniti products, the rear has a subtle spoiler and a large lower diffuser, while the roof has a large panoramic glass sunroof. Interior photos reveal a driver-focused cabin with a tall center console and sporty three-spoke steering wheel.

I like it........not super original (which seems like somewhat of a trend, as wind-tunnel and other testing can dictate design for performance oriented super cars), but I like it.

The front end is different, the lights are different, the hood is different, the vents on the side are in totally different locations, and lines are smooth instead of sharp.

But yeah, they're both silver. And they both have door vents and C-pillar vents. So, in a way - you're right.

Infiniti fish face grille.

headlights and fender vents that look like gills as well.

Infiniti's weird kink in the C-pillar.

otherwise it is highly derivative of CX75. Not just silver, but satin silver, with chrome trim is very close.

The wheels are very similar design.

The interior is also very similarly styled.

A concept car should be a no-holds-barred flight of fancy... not a re-hash of someone else's.

Wonder if this will compete with the upcoming NSX?

I think that is Nissans intention. Especially consdering that the new NSX is suppose to be a Hybrid.

I hope Nissan will build a supercar. Something exclusive like the LFA.

Nissan already proved they can build a mass produced car that can compete with the LFA and other exotics.

I want to see what a $375,000 Nissan can do!

It sounds like you want a new version of the R390 to be produced...

Since LFA is branded Lexus... It would seem that Infiniti would be the brand, at least where Infiniti exists... to produce a car in this idiom to be a super car.

Imagine a mid mounted VK56 TT, with Nissan GTR's transaxle sending power to the front as well, in a car that generally looks production-ized from this concept...

Similar, but the R390 was never really sold. Only a hand full were built and the main purpose is for racing in GT1 class.

Think about a higher end GTR drive-train combined with a full carbon fiber chassis.

A GTR already does wonders, a full carbon fiber GTR would do miracles, ^^ this would be out of this world.
