Default Known MAIC Scammer Thread

Well everyone, it's time for a thread. One dedicated to ****-stains everywhere who decide scamming for some quick $$$ is the way to do things.

This thread will be a sticky (Thanks Abnormal).

Hopefully this will help prevent other's from being scammed and be a place to share information about other scammers.

Damnit.

IB someone's brother comes blaming me

OP, good of you to do this out in the open. People need to learn that some folks just aren't honest, and that trusting someone on the other side of the internet is never a good idea.

I had a lapse in judgment. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. 0 feedback and a moneygram should have been a giant red flag.

Anyway screw this guy. I hope you are hunkered down real good buddy. I'm gonna rain hell down upon you.

Something similar happened to me. I got the product from the seller but the wheels were bent beyond repair, he blamed it on me.

Thanks to BoA, I got my money back.

I was actually going to trade shifters with OctaneBlue and he was honest about the threads for the knob being jacked.

Great thread though. Feel like I've read this before somewhere though

Do you have more information that would be relevant to this?

Maybe right here:

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2296919

Coincidentally... Add those dates to OctaneBlue's join date... and you get?

Kind of funny that he 'traded' his brother, 07jayspec, wheels his other brother, corpuz04, was selling and got called out for trying to pass along damaged goods:

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2306601

Also note all the different colored WRX parts for sale in this thread...

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2303223

PS: I called this. What a shame.

How on earth does this protect you?

If you tell Paypal after the fact that you were actually lying about it being a gift to avoid the 3% fee they are just going to laugh at you.

It won't. It was non-existent peace of mind. If you have nothing positive to contribute to the thread move on. I know I had a lapse in judgment.

This thread is to protect others from getting scammed.

Wow. This is interesting.

Right before 05gt got banned, I was negotiating purchase of a partial 2005 interior for cheap. He used the exact same number and claimed his name was Ben. So... two names clearly tied together.

Negotiations on pricing and meeting up went on for more than a week, and the entire process was frustrating, instable, and shady. Towards the end of our negotiations he admitted he already sold parts from the interior he previously stated he had in his possession. At this point I informed him that I was no longer interested.

I have all text messages saved for archival purposes.

Pointing out that Paypal gifts add no protection is to protect others from getting scammed.

Well, on the topic of scammers, i hate to call someone out by their real name, but Chris Jackson of Lorton VA (former Subaru employee at several different Subaru service centers) is a total scammer, because he lied about his 04 WRB STi's condition which i purchased it from him. He sold me the car with a smashed in fuel tank, damaged fuel pump, frame damage, etc. i test drove the car before i bought it, had no idea about the damage, and it (miraculously) died on me the next morning... on the way to work. im deep in $2k+ of repairs on this car, and he has the nerve to say that i must have destroyed my dream car within 12 hours of receiving it from him, and that he had no idea the car was with issue, and that the car was "as is". This man is a liar and a cheat.

Frame damage? Smashed fuel tank? Sounds like the guy did a Dukes of Hazzard jump over a river. You didn't notice this when you bought it?

Unfortunately, no. I didnt notice this when i bought it. As I am an honest businessman, I was expecting him to also be honest (big mistake) and produce the (as advertised) Subaru service documentation stating that all fluids had been changed, along with spark plugs, alignment, etc. because of this, i had no reason to climb physically underneath the car, it was allegedly Subaru certified as solid. As his sale of an unsafe car is fraudulent and misleading while he knew about the damages, this is an easy court case. life lessons, learned the hard way. i was just so excited about the condition of the car with its lower mileage, external near-perfection, and ability to drive (how? i dont know). it was my dream car on a WRB platter, and my due cynicism/skepticism was overruled by my opportunity to own an 04/05 WRB STi on gold BBS rims.
