If any of you need a cheap tyre pump for auto-x, I saw this at Home Depot today:

Those of you who didn't come out to the Auto-X this weekend you missed out on one of the most fun tracks yet. Very long and very quick! Back at El Toro again in a few weeks on July 22nd, here's the link to register:

darn it, i really need to make it out to one of these autocrosses, but darn my weekend work schedule.

just wanted to share a cel phone pic since I recently had some exterior work done to the car. i couldnt wait to show you guys since a lot of you have contributed to where the car sits today.

meh you could say "its just another STM RS with OEM+ exterior, nothing new", but try finding one on the internet WITHOUT:
red supertones
pink emblems
stickers (of any kind, OEM or aftermarket)
rally armor mudflaps
JDM rear spoiler
aeroguards
sports front bumper
gold wheels

some come close, but they always have something on the list above (all of which arent my cup of tea).

Each to their own I supose, I know you love stock everything. I'm partial to customizing my car to how I like it. Your car does look really nice, super clean!

Oh and just FYI your spoiler on your car is a JDM Version II STi spoiler, so your car doesnt pass your criteria either

On another note, MEET TONIGHT!

lol thanks dave. D'oh on the version 2 sti wing. i guess i can say it matches my version 2 seats. sweet to be honest though, i suddenly like the idea of version 5 and 6 spoilers after you guys explained to me what the difference was from GD spoilers.

who knows maybe next week i'll have all those things and think its awesome and it'll be my new cup of tea. its okay though, i'm NOT the original owner

What do you guys think of this?

Anyone down for a road trip and a parking lot head gasket repair?

That has a timing chain. It might be a little bit of fun. I'd say tow it.

Who's coming out tomorrow night? I'll be there, most likely in my land yacht.

The EG33 uses a timing belt actually. Tho its very easy to change as it like a SOHC timing belt job. The cams have gears on them, the exhaust cams drive the intake cams directly.

I wouldn't try to do a HG repair in a parking lot. Just tow it home.

As for the meet I should be there.

It is absolutley nuts right now. Buy one dozen, get a second dozen for 75 cents. The line for the drive thru is out into the street.

I don't know if I'll be able to make the autox either. I feeling pretty under the weather right now. I'm trying to get better by taking vitamins and drinking lots of water. Hopefully I'll feel well enough by tomorrow morning.

You totally did. I had intentions to try and make it out there, but I have prior commitments that would have had to fall through to be able to go. Happy to be going to breakfast with awesome people though so it all works out.

How's going guys? Does anybody knows what local store would have exhaust and uppipe gaskets? What about heat wrap? Have my car down for a couple of days doing oil cooler gasket and rocker cover gaskets and spark plugs so might as well install the catless uppipe I have sitting around...
Should be able to show up to the meet next Friday if my car is up and running by then...
Thanks...

Dealer generally has them in stock. Think pepboys has the exhaust wrap. But 2" size only. Otherwise go to a hotrod shop..

Remember you might have to lift the engine with or with out the mount to install or remove the uppipe. As well the uppipe bolts are under the down pipe. So the down pipe must come off.

Autozone has the best price on irridum plugs. Don't forget antiseize and boot lube.

Auto x this weekend. I think its the last one at el Toro for awhile. Go here to register: solo2.motorsportreg.com

CST runs first, I think I might buy two sets of x runs on Sunday.
