You're in the boroughs? The one place in the US with worse gun laws than NJ.

I was talking to someone from NY tonight about their gun laws and he said it wasnt too bad but they are weird... he got all his stuff in under 4 months, BUT said NY makes you buy a firearm FIRST, WITHOUT BEING ALLOWED TO EVEN HOLD IT, THEN you need to get the permits to own it after the payment transaction! totally ass backwards from NJ...

ive never heard anything like that

Possible temporary loss of local government in the aftermath of this storm -- if it is as bad as they are saying.

Always be defended and have that bug out bag ready to go! Like you people need reminding

Any hunters here in central PA? I have some property in Juniata county that I frequent but I always looking for a new spot. Any suggestions within a 50 mile radius of Harrisburg other than Dauphin, Halifax area?

Does your COC allow any modifications to issued weapons? Depending on your command you might have some leniency while others won't even allow mag springs.

I was telling the LGT guys that we need to set up a meet at one of the local ranges. Anyone have suggestions? I'm in Putnam, near the border of Danbury, CT.

Westchester county public range in Cortlandt Manor is good, cheap

County cops will check for ny pistol license if you bring a handgun

That's Blue Mountain right? I've heard a lot of mixed reviews about that place. Mostly that it's too strict.

This weekend while hunting, I got the itch to buy another rifle. I ended up looking at all the different rifle rounds and really want another AR chambered in 300 or a hunting rifle in 30-06.

Yup, cons are that they're strict with the semi-autos (1 round loaded at a time) and the younger RSO(s) will ignore customers arriving for lane assignment if there is a woman at the range

I like to shoot my bolt actions there. I spend 99% of my time at 100 yd shooting iron sights. They've got a bunch of scrap metal hanging on the berm that you can plink once you get bored with paper. Nice county park in general, nice scenery

You can right into Danbury to Wooster. If you're up for a drive and to make a day of it, head out to Wallingford, CT to Blue Trail. Then when you're done, stop by Hoffman's. Biggest gun store I've ever been to and it has an indoor range right in the store.

Any of you guys buying anything gun related on Black Friday? Cabela's seems to have some decent deals going on.

Taken from LGT...

So if anyone wants to see the Cabela's Ad the link is below. I will be one of those morons waiting in line super early for the Liberty Pro Vault 24 gun safe for $499 which comes with a free door sleeve. Its on page 2 of the add my local store will get 27 of them so I hope to not have a problem. They also have some nice deals on some guns.

the deal on 500 rounds of .223 is pretty damn good also $159 for 500 rounds of Federal ammo.

I'll second the Blue Trail / Hoffman's combo day. That's how I wound up with my first rifle

So, anyone local in NY or CT want to go to the range and let me try out your handgun/s? I really want to test fire a few different 9mm before buying one out of a glass case.

Ranges local to me are Blue Mountain in Peekskill, Wooster Mountain in CT, Putnam Fish & Game in Carmel and Whortlekill Rod & Gun in Hopewell Junction. There's also Shooter's Pistol Range in CT and Blue Trail in Wallingford, CT that are a little bit further. I'm sure there are some other ranges I don't know about.
