Yes, Ive been there 2 times so far since getting the new gun. great place IMO. range officer is nice, not crazy strict, and at times very helpful.

That is a beautiful Sig. I'm in the market for a compact 9mm that I can take to the range and have the option to carry if I choose to do so. As much as everyone tells me to get a G19, XD or M&P I keep coming back to the Sig 239/229. There's a black Sig 239 Elite with the rosewood handles at a local gun store and it's beautigul. Tag on it says $950. They also have a badass 1911 Sig Nightmare that I fell in love with but I don't think now is the time for me to buy a 1911 or a .45 for that matter. lol

^ told myself the same thing RE: .45 . i was in the market for a P226 actually. Wanted to get the 9mm Tacops version w/ the 15-20rnd mags but then found out NYC has a 10rnd limit cap on mags =(. So looking at other options.. found the P220 and fell in love with it. This thing is huge & heavy unfortunately so it's definitely just gonna be a range warrior. Take a look at the P226 if you get a chance.. just slightly bigger than the P229 but i feel like it's a good all around. Fired a few times.. feels great! never fired a 229 tho.

I carry my 220 in a Blackhawk nylon IWB holster on a regular basis, appendix-style. The only time I find it uncomfortable is extended trips in the car. I say go for it! FWIW, I'm about 5'8" and 185 lbs.

I love my 229. I would suggest getting the E2 Ergo grips if you have smaller hands. I found something online from sig when they debuted them, showing the size difference.

Disregard the prices as thevye changed since 2010. I actually called today and they told me the kit was $75.
Topgunsupply.com has them for $46

Have any of you guys been to EFGA? Last time I had a range membership was @ shore shot, but I never bothered to renew it when the last few times I went there the line was out the door.

Looking to finally get back into shooting after a couple year break. This place is a hike from Linden, but they offer ranges for everything I'll be shooting, so it seemed like a good deal. and probably less crowded than most of the NJ places.

I've got a P220 in Equinox trim. I can stare at it for hours.. Such a beauty.

It's got such a satisfying weight to it and shoots like a dream.

I use a Safariland ALS holster. I'd rather walk than share a car seat with that beast holstered. But rare that I'd take it outside anyway, that's what Glocks are for.

Sig makes some sweet handguns and rifles

^nice i picked up a safariland ALS holster myself... a little heat gun to the bottom to accomodate my longer 5" barrel.. but fits like a charm w/my Streamlight TLR-1 .

finally got to the range.. RTSP up in north NJ.. really great place! clean as hell, staff is nice & friendly.. im sure it gets packed tho with only 9 lanes. I bought membership on a whim so hopefully it works out. Pretty much pays for itself if i go 35 times in a year.. which i most likely will haha. My P220 shoots like a bat out of hell.. definitely a tack driver.. got a pretty decent grouping considering I havent shot anything in at least a year. Definitely looking forward to heading back when I've got some more free time. The drive isn't horrendous.. smooth sailing and all highway... but definitely better than driving to LI!

I have only fired Federal Champion .22LR through my 10/22 and after about 350rds, I only had about 3 jams but I attributed that to the banana mag I was using. It was kinda junky. None of the rotary mags I owned jammed with that ammunition.

I'd take the rest off your hands but I still have like 1600 rounds of it left.

Nice! What scope is that and how much was it? I need to figure out what I want to do with my optics for the AR. I want the Primary Arms 3x mini scope but part of me wants something more than 3x. I don't plan on taking shots any further than 100-150 yards.

Also, I'm looking to buy a Sig P239 or H&K P30 if any of you know any for sale.

Depends on your budget/how often you shoot/type of shooting. I used the Vortex Viper 1-4x PST when I was shooting in Tac-optics class, and switched to an Aimpoint T-1 after moving to the tac-irons class. No problems out to 250 with either one.

Old pic I took for a former teammate (he shoots for Spike's Tactical now):

Its a piece of junk Osprey 3x12x50 back lit in R/G that I payed like $125 off ebay. Im not happy with it at all, as it seems to b a little twitchy.
Im planing on getting a high quality scope for distance 3x7x? since the barrel is a 20" 1-7 twist and I can send 223/5.56 80gr out to 600yds all day long. For under 100yds Im planing on putting a rear flip peep/iron on the 45 degree angle side rails

Yes, I have obtained official lurker status. This is true.

Anyway, here's my AR.

My brother's on the bottom, but his looks completely different now.
