Springfield XD9

Have had this gun about 4 months now with zero issues. Absolutely love it.

I'm considering either the XDM or from what I heard SA is coming out with an XDS, aka more compact. Not sure on the details but I'm constantly checking.

I picked up a two-tone XDm compact 3.8 in .45ACP for ****s and giggles a while ago. It is a really nice piece and it groups well. And it's very good looking. Only negative is that I expected a short trigger reset like a Glock but need to almost let go to get another shot. Got a Crossbreed Supertuck (IWB) holster for it which is a great fit. Excellent carry combo

Excellent review of that XDm here (all his reviews are pretty good):

XDs is crazy small. I'd prefer a snub nosed revolver at that size, personal preference

Woke up today and found a huge box gift wrapped outside my door (today is my birthday). Turns out, my mother decided to get me a messenger bag since she knew I was looking into them. Guess what she got?

The box had some big logo and "Tactical Distributors" in huge letters. Also came with a decal and a few green army men thrown in the box.

Sooo pumped! I wanted this bag so bad! I'll be sure to take pics of it this weekend and see how many handguns I can hide in the secret compartments.

Whortekill Rod and Gun club in Hopewell Junction (Fishkill) has trap shoots every Wednesday night. Lots of fun and very inexpensive. It's $5 to shoot and if you don't have your own ammo, $6 per box of 25.

I know they close for winter but they should be open soon if not already.

Bud's Gun Shop rules

I got a Ruger from them next-day that my local shop gave me a 2013 delivery date on. And a really good deal on a Saiga too. AND they have virtually every FFL dealer's license already on file. Good people

I had a Jerico .40, my brother has one now. Good guns, like the trigger. It's a CZ clone with a different look.

(yes, I know they are called baby eagles in the states because they are distributed by Magnum Research. But they are made by Tangfolio for IWI who sells them to MR)

Too bad you can't have anything remotely cool in NY...

CJRPC has a 24/7 indoor pistol range, it's down the parkway but you can have fun driving at that hour. Membership fees not too bad, check it out.

nice, subies and guns.

92FS italy 2tone. At some point "importing" a .22 and shotty from my father in NY.
Currently stuck in getting my FPID address changed and a few more pistol permits. NJ laws are tough, but all my new neighbors are armed .

Do any of you know of any local ranges (indoor or out) that offer classes or allow someone to have a private party at, perhaps bachelor party?

Reminder that gun and gun part sales are not allowed on NASIOC. Posting links to online deals is fine, but no member sales.

They're just 30 round pre-ban paperweights. Jerk.

Seriously though, that's a dumb rule. I can see not wanting to sell actual firearms/weapons but a magazine?

Anyway, I just bought a box of 30 Orlite pre-ban magazines for myself and a few friends. Better?

I feel like there were more posts in here yesterday than today

Could always market them as AAA battery storage containers*

* batteries will short out and catch fire
