Default 2012 Subaru WRX/STI hatchback project

Today I got to play around with a brand new STI, Inital thoughts on the car were great except for a few things that were kind of annoying.

The downs.

Stock ECU map seemed choppy between Sport, Sport sharp, intelligent.
Stock struts and springs seemed to stiff for factory. (Not a smooth ride)
Factory rear tail lights =P Needed some red.
consumes fuel like it's going out of style!

The ups.

New revised touch screen in dash is a nice touch. - Bluetooth completes the package, from accepting phone calls to listening to music, no hicups
Car handles great
The new STI suede/leather seats hug you nicely
illumination in the cab shows accents and highlights very well
Huge fan of the new steering wheel and all the features to keep your hands on the wheel!
2012 STI transmission reminds me of an 05-06 transmission (gear ratio)

Mods done today.

Cobb Intake, Nice new bracket by the way, with the laser cut sheet metal
Cobb accessport STG2+ 91 v310 tune (Smoothed out the cars performance very nicely) 18.5 psi peak boost
Cobb Highflow catted downpipe - Cusco Headshield
SPT Catback exhaust
windows tinted along with the rear tail lights (3m products FTW) 20% around
Mods comming soon.

Coilovers, strut braces, advans

Owner of the car Chris B.
