Default New Buick GNX by tuning firm to produce more than 300-hp

Quote:
The Buick GNX was introduced in 1987 as the ‘Grand National to end all Grand Nationals.’ The GNX pushed out 276-hp and ran from stand still to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds – performance figures that were very impressive at the time.
It is now 2012 and the GNX is about to come back. American tuning firm SLP has reportedly acquired the rights for the GNX nameplate and they plan to use it.
Check out more news on the Buick Regal.
The company has already released the first rending of the SLP GNX, which will be based on the production version of the Buick Regal GS. The model is rumored to produce more than 300-hp and SLP will only be building about 500 of those.
Sounds pretty interesting.

Said it before, I'll say it again.

ATS (Alpha chassis) coupe should be turned to a Buick Grand National coupe. Not FWD like Regal, not Caddy competition to the CTS coupe.

Add -V equivalent equipment, and a pressurized V6 (TT a high-feature 3.6 V6 perhaps?), and you have your GNX version.

Yes, 300hp for 4000 lbs (probably an exaggeration on my part) doesn't seem worthy of the GNX name.

You can slap a badge on anything... if it's FWD it's not a GNX

SLP is a good Co. but 360 or more horses would be more like.
