You cant buy Kamak off of flebay, you have to buy direct. I had a slight imperfection on the compressor cover and George just sent me a brand new one, it was a cosmetic blemish only and he sent me a whole new cover free of charge, didnt even want the first one back.

STS turbos form Kamak with the billet wheel run $1800.00 (20GTX STS w/billet wheel, billet actuator and STS 9-wheel, they will gi e a discount from NASIOC memebers and if anyone wants one let me know and I will talk to George about group buys or NASIOC members.

What are the specs on that turbo? They run just about the same as the Dom 3, 4, 5 turbos

Excited ! I just ordered my new turbo finally after 5 years of trying to decide what to get,,,haha. This will be a Kinugawa aka Kamak aka Sage Turbos.
This company makes genuine IHI / Mitsubishi turbos so not to be confused with other lesser eBay offerings.

Turbocharger SUBARU Impreza WRX STI TD06SL2 20G 8cm

Compressor Wheel: 20G

Turbine Wheel: TD06SL2 (54.1mm) smaller than TD06H (58.8mm) for faster spool, bigger than TD05H (49.1mm) for more top end.

Note: This turbo has same turbine / compressor wheel dimensions as a Blouch 18G-XT (54.1mm / 68mm), so has better spool than Blouch 18G-XTR (56.5mm / 68mm) and better top end due to being 20G. From my research this is a no compromise turbo nice balance between low end and high end torque, albeit comp wheel is not billet, Blouch is.

But the link to the turbo doesn't have a billet wheel... How do you order it with one?

Opps my bad, fixed my post, yes this one does not have the 9 blade billet comp wheel.

Here is the one with the billet comp wheel, $1,000 more just for the billet wheel and actuator.....

No, I don't think is worth it. Fuji K is doing 11s with the exact same turbo I ordered (his is on e85 though...). I will be more than happy to achieve mid 12s on 93.

The adjustable actuator is useful, mine made a big change.

I didn't realize the upgrades are that expensive! If I was to order a turbo I wouldn't need the forged actuator either as I am ewg. Is it possible to get the gtx and sts wheels, and but not the forged actuator?

Kamak will build what ever you want, but you need to speak to George at gt@kamakdynamics.com tell him you were referred by David Z. Kamak will build you what you want, but he is overseas. My turbo took approx. 2-weeks to get here through customs.

OR you can send me your email and Ill get it to him. I just sent him an email asking for a group buy, waiting to hear back Jersey is getting pounded right now, so i may not have power today,

Well, in case anyone cares, here is my build over on Legacygt.com: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthrea...light=kinugawa I purchased a TD06SL2 60-1 with the 3" anti surge compressor housing. I ran into horrible fitment issues and had to basically chop up all my piping to make a custom rotated kit. Looking back I should have just fabbed up the conventional rotated set up, but hey, you live and learn .

I have three complaints about Kinugawa 1) fitment of the turbo (its a stock location 3" compressor housing...so i'm not too mad about that) 2) HORRIBLE customer service (I actually opened a dispute with my credit card company), and 3) my specific turbo is super laggy, as it doesn't hit full boost until like 4800 rpm on pump. Outside of those issues, the quality of the turbo is stellar IMO.

If i could do it all over again, I would actually purchase the OBX rotated piping kit and the Kinugawa 25G 3" anti-surge compressor turbo. I'll be tuning the car on E-85 as soon as a trace a few more boost leaks. I'll keep folks posted as I proceed.

Just got this from George today:

Hi David

So I'm actually at Vegas right now for the Sema show. We have a booth here so will be here all week will you be attending Sema this year?

And yes, we can work out some kind of group sale event. Just give me some more details. For example how many people, what specs do they want. Just give me an estimate, I know it's hard to get people for sure without telling them the price first. So just let me know and we can work something out.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thank you

So I do not know how to create a group buy, do I have to contact the Moderator? Let me know guys I am sure we can get a great price.

@EpicrRasta, well, so far my experience with Kinugawa has been great, I am getting replies within 3 hours of my originally inquiry. If your lag is big, what are you expecting from a huge 60 mm / 76 mm comp wheel (Inducer / Exducer), that's a Dom 3 caliber wheel.

To avoid lag, I ordered the smaller 52.5 mm / 68 mm (Inducer / Exducer) comp wheel and I am waiting to hear from Kinugawa how much it would be to have my turbo equipped with a billet STS comp wheel.

yes, it seems Blouch is a cheaper option if you want a billet wheel.

I am not 100%, but I dont think a group buy can be done unless gt@kamakdynamics.com was a paying sponsor on this forum..But dont quote me on that. Thats usually how it works at most forums.

I would be interested in purchasing a 25G with the upgraded GTX and STS wheels. But if it ends up being more expensive or the same amount as a "comparable" Blouch turbo, I would just go with the Blouch.

4800 rpm on pump? What psi? There's something wrong, I hit 19 psi at 3800 rpm on the 60-1 tdo6sl2. I went with the 2.4" compressor housing to avoid the fitment hassle.
BTW, you can buy the tdo6sl2 turbine housing with the greddy triangle flanges from kinugawa in both 8cm and 12 cm^2, it bolts right up to the obx rotated pipes. Cut off the square flange at the dump pipe and weld on a 44mm v band fitting and you are good to go with a quality ewg set up. I'm going to run a rotated 20g td06sl2 on a 2.1 stroker swap project and maybe another 60-1 later.
Shoot, you could buy the obx pipes and the wet triangle 60-1 tdo6sl2 for a very low price.

4800 does not sound bad for a 65 lb/min turbo...

I think the op stated in his lgt thread that he had some vacuum leaks, etc. to track down, I think after he repairs them, he'll spool a bit quicker.
The 60-1 tdo6sl2 spools up way faster than I thought it would on my 6 speed forester, I expected quite a bit more lag. Doesn't seem to like going much past 24 psi on pump though.
