For sure. It's all opinion though. I can't hate on ricers because I consider myself one. I had the exact fast and furious eclipse replica, sold it for my wrx. But yeah almost everything that doesn't come on the car stock or doesn't add hp, is a ricer mod, but I love the rice look myself. (to an extent) I saw a Sti with this gay ass aftermarket spoiler, made me so sad.

i've noticed that anyone who doesn't like a mod on someone elses car considers it rice. i've seen nicely done cars with body kits, wings, graphics etc. granted it's not very often you see that but it can be done.

It depends. If it's a subtle lip or lip kit that makes the car look better (meaning clean looking, and almost looks like it should have came that way)

If it just looks like a part bolted on and doesn't flow with the lines of the car, then its rice.

OK looks like i got flamed for that sunfire thing. but i think the line between what we consider rice and what we consider being unique is becoming blurry. the sunfire for example is not what i consider rice, all the paint matches and i cant see any ridicules scoops or vents. the spoiler is a little high but its not ridiculously over sized. all im saying is just cause its not a Subaru doesn't meen it rice.

I think the problem is most of our mentality. I don't see a point in making something look cool or fast if its slow. But some people only want looks and don't care about speed... which makes no sense to me. Haha.

Alot of cars dont have the base power plant of a subaru though so from the minimal gains yoh would get from engine mods, I can see how people turn to other types of modification. I still enjoy ricing my cars out a little.

Not true.

You can like it and it's still rice. The Japanese overstyle almost everything. Here's some "factory rice" for you.

That's kinda what I meant when I said a clean lip that almost looks factory. I have that lip on my car, and i don't think its rice at all.

??? really?? i hope your not being serious. if so this rice thing has gotten way out of hand. there is a big difference between a car being "overstyled" from the factory and someone putting way to many aftermarket body parts on a car. there is nothing wrong with the nissan pickup in that picture.

it's just funny though, everyone is a ricer in someone's eyes. no matter who you are, what you drive or whats done to your car, someone will call it rice. thats why i stopped caring and i just do whatever i want to my car because it's my car.

Saw a 4th gen camaro last night with an "import slayer" sticker. My favorite part was the giant wing (like the one here http://www.octanemotorsports.com/images/01011035_0.jpg)

... and the fact that it wouldn't start

I wanted to take a picture but I was in the tC and feared he might try to import slay me

Mustang owners are usually worse. Generally a lot cockier. But a lot of V8 domestic car owners are ignorant morons. They aren't all bad though, I'm a former 4th gen fbody owner myself.
