Default I could help

I have a garage, but not much else ( I do have a floor jack, stands, basic sockets and such). Anyway, if you have all the tools you need and don't mind driving to Lafayette, you can use my garage. I'd love to see how an uppipe goes in. I also have no idea how to do an uppipe install but would love to learn.

Also, time does not matter. If you want to be here at 8am that's fine by me. Let me know!

Since I've never installed one myself, I'd like to have someone there to keep an eye on me. Thanks for the offer though.

Question

This seems to be a continuations of a previous thread...

Would you drive to the Springs? Dave offered his garage & experience. I know the area & can find his place. I'd like to see this done, as I was thinking of doing it too.

I'll drive to the Springs if no one could help me here. I'm hoping wrxnate is free. I'll have to call him later and see.

Cool

I just thought of this last night - if you drive a ways, you're going to have to wait to let things cool down a bit. Don't plan on digging right in. I'm free on saturday & we could use my garage & tools.

Cool

Nope, I haven't done one of these before. Maybe Dave can come up and walk us through it. Dave? You there?

As for time, we could start pretty early if you wanted. 09:00 would be good.

Paul,

You interested in going down to the Springs with me Saturday morning to get your learn on? I think we're going to do the uppipe install at David's house after we blow cold air on the uppipe area for an hour or so. The poor guy has been up here the past three weekends.

I'm sure that people that want to watch how it's done could come too. I have room for 4 besides me in the Rex. No fattys though cause you'll just make the uppipe hotter

Contact David_sh if you're interested since it's his house and all.

BTW, David, do you have an O2 sensor wrench and a Dremel?

Thumbs up

I'm always game to watch/help someone take apart their car. You can rent 02 sensor wrenches. I've rented one before from the autozone close to my house. If you want, I can try to pick one up again. Give me a buzz at 303.324.0416 to set up a time/place for the caravan.

6?! Geez Nate. Wish you could come.

Paul, I think I'll probably buy the O2 sensor wrench or socket, that way the next person to get an uppipe can borrow it. As soon as I hear back from David, I'll let you know what time we're leaving (hopefully early).

<-----always looking for an excuse to get more tools.

wrxlvr: "But honey, I need this tool"

Unhappy

Well, I just got an email from the boss last night. I'm not going anywhere this weekend. I'm going to be in with some other folks trying to get a release out.

Damn crappy job market.....
