townhouse in bowie

hey, i have made posts in the past about moving to maryland, we saw a townhouse in Bowie that we liked.. on Nestor Ct, next to Allan Pond and by the mall... i felt safe in the neigborhood.. people that lived in the complex said they liked it and seemed safe..

question... i know people say to stay away from PG County but this seems like a nice neighborhood..... are there parts of Bowie that are nice and safe? thanks =)

Bowie is actually pretty nice.....Bowie is actually trying to become part of Anne Arundel County.....I know the Town houses your talking about .....i think. They are pretty new....look really nice....your also near new carrolton so your commute to DC will be easier than Glen Burnie ....excellent choice IMO

thank you kind sir =0) we are going to put a bid on it as soon as possible, the real estate agent said we had a good chance! its easier than renting or lookin for a house i think, a good start for us! its assuring to know its a good area since i heard bad things about PG county! there seems to be stuff to do around there and it looked clean and attractive to me. i had a good feeling about it, now i have to keep my fingers crossed!

i'll second what rich said, but i grew up about half a mile from the townhouse you are looking at, so i am biased. bowie is generally a pretty quiet area (my parents still live there), and it was always nice having the pond so near by.

ok will do! the townhouse i mentioned might fall through! the realtor said we had to put a security deposit down, i have never heard of such a practice and neither had my bf , he told them he didnt really want to do it, he had a letter of intent and felt that was good enough, i guess they wanted some sort of guarantee , freakin sucks since we really liked the place and it was in our price range. they have an end unit in the same development but the tenants arent cooperating but we find out this morning if we definitely lost the other one ! =(
