NNOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Crisis of faith....
...and I was comfortable in my belief that the convertible PT Cruiser is the worlds ugliest car.
Then this happened... (warning, not work safe, not safe for small children, not safe for your continued sanity.)

http://image.trucktrend.com/f/373940...e-static-2.jpg
http://media.caranddriver.com/images...s-1280x782.jpg
http://www.cardesign.tv/wp-content/g...ranoCC_103.jpg

...as you can see in the pictures, no one will touch it, except the man in the last one, who has been shunned by all his friends and is probably driving friendlessly and depressed to the nearest high cliff to throw himself from.

All in all ? My beliefs have been shattered. THIS is now the worlds ugliest car. And most useless idea ever. I mean really... a jacked up, crossover suv .. convertible? Why? Wha? Who? How?

Dear Nissan:
You helped define Japanese sports cars.
The roadster. The 510. The Z. More Z. Silvia. Skyline. and so forth.

You brought back japanese sports cars.
You gave us the 350Z... And its more mature sibling, the G35 coupe. Then the almighty (yet not very pretty) GT-R, then, in a stroke of brilliance, the 370Z, which undeniably beat the crap out of the american companies in the Retro-game. It's so retro-240Z its amazing, yet so beautiful at the same time... You even made the boring Altima look good for once (The coupe like the G35, and the new sedan like the Maxima). We even agreed to ignore the silly, look-a-like, russian-nesting-egg family of little SUV's you made in the image of the Murano (Rogue, Juke).
... and then this. Really Nissan? This isn't like sailing into uncharted territory. This is like sailing into the bermuda triangle on a raft made of cereal boxes lashed together with red vines..

Remember folks: friends don't let friends buy... whatever the F$%^ this thing is.

Friday morning rant over.

Yeah that Nissan is easily on par with the PT Cruiser. UGLY!

Not a joke really.
Camaro: nice retro job, still won't buy one. Last two Mustangs: not bad. Both the Ford n Chevy at least retro-ed the best body styles they previously made. Charger? Joke. Challenger? Finally got the Charger-retro right. Still not great.

370Z tho? Even compared to the 350, it was a huge step up. Tons of S30 styling in it. The only thing i think they got wrong is that they can't seem to get past just slapping the door handles on the outside of the door, without even color matching them or making them blend with the lines. Didn't fix that from the last Z.

Fanboy? not really, but honestly there's very few domestics, let along Fords i'd buy in the last 30-40 years. Nissan has made many cars i'd love to own. (370, R32/34 GT-R's, S15 Silvia)
However, among my goals for this year: get up n running both our Mach1 and a Datsun Roadster. Time for some Classic plates...

To me the 370 looks like a 350 with the new headlights and taillights. A few lines different but more of a facelift than anything. I don't think it looks anything like a 240, but I suppose I could be wrong.

I think Ford did the best retro look for the Mustang. Now I just hope they don't screw up the 2015's like they did the 80s. >...<

Definitely, cause some of the photo's that have been floating around look more like a retro-MustangII.. uugh.
I'll stick to old Mustangs, thank you. (tho i'd love a nice low mile used coyote block...)

So, uh, the weather forecast was right... Does that mean we need to play the lotto? Or has hell frozen over?

Tie downs... Hmmm. Never thought of that. Lol
I just rented some from auto zone when I did mine...err, more of a loan.. give them 50 bucks, they give you the spring compressors, you bring em back and get your money back. Or just keep em and now you has compressors of your own.

Don't usually need spring compressors for lowering spring install. uninstalling you just zip off the top and take em apart. Reinstall is not too bad w/ lowering springs cause they usually have shorter uncompressed height, and you can just push em down by hand enuf to get the nut on. I think I have a set of compressors around, but I never use em.
