So who all wants to come to the bbq for sure Sunday? Only heard from Matt so far. Josh is out due to work. Unless we have it early before he goes. (If he would want to do that.) Jason out too.

Jake? Wayne? Andrew? Anyone? Lol let me know. If need be I'll make an event on Facebook and send invites

I figured out if I take a different shift I can go to the BBQ and the RallySport meet next weekend without missing work. So I'm back in.

I would doubt more than 200F since the Rex uses a plastic manifold. I've recorded IAT of 140F in the summer but it was over 100 outside so it doesn't seem to absorb a lot from the engine bay.

Oh you silly gr owners(or former owner in your case)! Real manifolds are aluminum!

What I was getting at aside from Paul walker comments is that if plastic works for a car with the same block and nearly identical flowing turbo the temps can't be too crazy.

I could be wrong and maybe it's super whamadyne plastic. Lol

Well. I want to paint my manifold bronze I think. The paint I got is wheel paint. Supposedly good to 250 degrees. I don't think it would be passed that. We'll see How it works

Possibly still danger to exhaust mani if you have enough turboz and nawz, you might get a high enough egt to melt it.

Most intake manifolds are cast. You know that and I know that, but no one told the F&F crew.

It's been a while and I can't remember what manifold was on the f & f car, maybe it was an aftermarket sheetmetal one, or something like the modified 2.5i mani that asf machine does where they cut it open to do a better p&p and then weld an addition to the plenum on.
