You could join the SWP club! Best of both worlds!

In other news, meet @ BWW tomorrow at 7p.

Im gone a lot usually. Currently working a 14 day on. 7 off schedule and was told might change to a 18 day on 10 off schedule.

As for trans I thought the 5 speeds bolted right up for those years but im sure someone will say as I honestly would not go off what I say.

06-07 have different type of clutch, push vs. Pull, but I forget which year has which. I heard to make it work I would need the clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, flywheel, and slave cylinder and correct ratio rear diff that corresponds to that year style of tranny. But I just want to make sure.

I've heard good things about Mars. They are over on Pershing. Kinda right over behind jiffy lube.

So why are you switching to the 07 trans then? Why not just find an 03-05?

The 06+ have slightly tuffer gears, they are similar(maybe the same) to the 05+ legacy which have gears that are thicker and have a better tooth profile like the old jdm 5spd sti trans. With that said, are they enough better to warrant extra time, money, and work to swap the needed things to convert? My answer is I have no idea.

Back to an old topic, but, if you haven't got your sti tmic installed yet, lmk. I found an alum oem y-pipe in my garage today, no clue which it is. It's not the full y-pipe that all alum from inlet to inlet, and only has the 90 at the bottom in rubber. It's the type that has the one inlet separate like the right hand one in this picture. If you have a WRX core like the one on the left, you'd just need a short silicone to joint one WRX inlet to it, and then a 90 to fit the bottom to the turbo outlet. Might work for ya, you can have it if you still need it.

I'll take it and see if it'll work. I know I need a different 90 anyway because the wrx one is too short.

I have a stock 08 WRX downpipe, but I'm sure that's not what you're looking for.

Yes chris I'm back! Currently not at sues roo's though.
Now for the fun stuff... Some new projects that I'm on! Now that I'm sorta in a love hate relationship with my wrx
1951 Chrysler

My second project is under wraps still but it may be a 43 chevy soon to be powered by a cummings
And last.. I haven't forgotten about the wrx 100% I've got some stuff up my sleeve for it...

I'm really wanting to get at least 400-450hp on my build, more if possible...

gonna do a 2.2 stroker kit with all forged internals, port and polished heads, new cams, possibly valve train... for now i have a 20g turbo, but most likely gonna get something else, rc 1200 injectors, external wastegate... still gotta get a new intercooler. (i'd like to stay top mount if possible), headers and crosspipe.

i need something that can stand up to the horsepower i wanna put down.

the tranny in my car now has the better gears, rather than the glass ones put in the 02-early 03 models... so basically same as the 04-05 trannys. but still, i'd like to have a little more peace of mind. Id love to get a dogbox, but not looking to spend that kind of cash just yet.
