I am getting a weird noise at high boost, sounds like a roots blower, anyone know what this could be? I think I might know, because I took off some IC piping and put it back together, and it was my first time driving it since and that is where I think the noise is coming from?

It makes a whining sound just like a roots blower, got everything tightened down, going to take it for a drive later on today. I've heard horror stories that it's a bad turbo. Doesn't make sense to be that because it was one day fine with no noise, and now noise? Motor only has like 55k on it too?

Took it for a drive, and no more noise!!! It will be good to know what that sound is again after going through that. It would have put a damper on me racing on the 21st of April, if it was my turbo.

Sorry, all my race rubber is 15's. Why ya running only 215's, OOC? How did you like them? (I assume you auto-x'ed on those..)
I'm not thinking much bigger, I've got some 225's around in 15", should be good for some fun.

Azenis' suck, they are making new ones now called the RT-615K's and they are supposed to be way better. I just need one tire because I flat spotted one auto crossing and they are better than what I am rolling on now.

hmm... interesting.. What didn't you like about the Azenis's, they were pretty popular tires for the last few years? (kinda started the ST-classes with SCCA)
Kumho XS? (180 TW) come in like 215/45/16 around $120ea?
Hankook R-S3? (140 TW)
Yoko S-drives? 300TW, but they come in a ton of sizes, including your 215/40/16's

I'm going to try the hankook RS-3 this year, heard good things about them. The azenis weren't bad, they actually do really well at first, but when they got hot they would be worse than all seasons
