Default Fender Flare Install

NASIOC search function is still not working and i dont feel like waiting.

Ive got a deal to trade my wheels for wider lower offset wheels, so that parts covered. JUST BOUGHT the HT AUTOS fender flares.

Does anybody have any contacts for shops they know first hand do good work or is anyone here knowledgeable when it comes to cutting stock fenders and bolting on flares that would be willing to lend a hand?
Im also waiting on a quote response from IAG.

these are the flares i speak of...
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Subaru-Impre...item4865196224

Please dont turn this into a "why would you want flares" thread.

Thanks.

goodluck! I'm embarking on a similar journey for my sedan. PM me any info or pics when you're done! If i hear of any good places I'll let you know. It seems most people don't do any body work and just rivet them on, only do the bodywork when needed with their wheel setup...which you have. I have rust so I'll be doing the roll, cut, and pull with them and getting an aggressive set up as well. I'll probably just be going to a local body shop to get it completed when I get the whole car painted.

thanks. heres how its planned..all contingent on the flares arriving on time.

Tomorrow or Thursday Tires arrive
next tuesday flares arrive
next thursday flares get mounted
next friday new wheels and tires get mounted.

Thats the plan, ive got appointments setup for it. again its all going to go as planned or get screwed up depending on whether the flares get here on time or not.

yeah just 295's for now...Once they're mounted and i see how much room i have then ill decide wether i go up to a 315 or not.

Also the price jump was a few hundred dollars from a 295 to 315, so it would have sucked to get 315 and need to do a lot more work...playing it safe right now...I dont really have anyone else to go off of since ive only seen 1 other 2011+ with these flares.

On another note keeping my fingers crossed that the flares ship out to me tomorrow. SMYperformance expects to receive their shipment tomorrow and told me they'd ship them to me the same day they get them.

18x10.5 +15...hopefully that'll put it flush. Hard to know until i mount them since i have nobody to really base the fitment off of.

Should fit no problems. I ran 19x10.5 +22 with no flares. Granted my tires were a lot smaller. I thought IAG ran a 315 series tire a while back on their white STI.

I just hope it sits proper with the flares and isn't super sunk in.

Either a shop in Front Royal i was referred to or Extreme Custom and Collison in Woodbridge. depends on how quick the flares get here. Because i have an appointment at 3pm Friday to do my wheel trade and mount the new wheels.

It's a relatively easy install. Line up where the flares will be riveted onto the car and cut an inch or so below that the entire way around. Clean up the cut burrs and what not and put some touch up paint on the bare metal. Measure twice, or 5 times, cut once. Mark the spots where you will be putting the rivets and drill a hole for them in the correct size that the rivets take. Put some touch up paint on the bare metal there as well.

Use a rivet gun and rivet those suckers on. I'd get the flares color matched before install as well by a reputable paint shop. I have a buddy who works in a paint shop and will do side work for very good prices.
