2012 track day schedule for the PNW!

I encourage you guys to try a track day! We're lucky to have some really fun tracks within hours of us.. Here are the tracks available in the PNW.

Mission Raceway Park http://www.missionraceway.com/

The furthest is ORP. Roughly about 6-7 hrs away. Well worth it. If you notice, PCA Oregon hosts 2 day events- typically on the weekend. Saturday is a learning day (HPDE), and Sunday is a lapping day. This is a must!

So, how does it work? A respective car club will host an event at X track. Some clubs may require membership, some may not. Some memberships can be used for most clubs (ie PCA). This is your first step. Here are the most common clubs that run track days:

After you have paid some kind of annual fee, you can then sign up for your desired event here: www.motorsportreg.com with the exception of PDC where you will need to navigate their site. So create an account! I actually copy and pasted the list of events in the PNW from there onto this thread

An alternative to club hosted track days is Proformance Racing open lapping days at Pacific Raceways. A little bit pricier, but once you've been signed off to drive solo, you can lap to your hearts content (in other words, til you get bored or run out of brakes ) http://www.proformanceracingschool.com/schedule

For Novices, a VCMC track day is one of the only opportunities to receive 1 on 1 instruction, with professional corner workers manning the course. Lunch is also included with your entry fee. Passing zones are open to all Novices as well.

For Intermediate & Advanced drivers, open lapping(AKA ALL you can drive) will be back for this Track day!

The Ridge Motorsports Park is amazing, you'll have a blast on Saturday.
I don't know how I can go back to Mission after this experience, was my first (semi) dry trackday since all the suspension upgrades, car was so flat and predictable. I could hit over 200 on the straight, track is so big you can go entire sessions without seeing half the cars in your run group

I had trouble with corner 3 a couple times, got a little sideways, I think it's the change in elevation.

Anyone want to go to pacific raceways on August 8th? Wednesday. Proformance racing school. $245 all day lapping.

People who never drove the track can do the school for $395 includes helmet.
