Hi Vic members,

I will be attending my first track day on Aug 27 with PDC and Aug 30 with UBCSCC. Any tips for newbie? are there things I should bring with me? Anything important I should know before hand?

bring sun screen and bug spray.
make sure you have at least 50% brake pad life. If you car is prone to brake fade, or you're going to track a lot, consider track oriented brake pads and separate rotors.

Flush your brake lines. Use fresh high boiling point fluid. everyone has their favourite brand and preference.

other than that, ensure the car is mechanically sound and top up your fluids.

I may or may not be at the UBCSCC event, but in case I'm not, have fun, and keep the shiny side up.
