Default FR-S driven in anger

So a FR-S was driven this past weekend by three national champion SCCA AutoX-ers. Tjis was not a marketing gimick. All three were in the area for a Run off and the local Subaru dealer happened to have one a local AutoX near by. So they hopped into a car and drove to try it out.

Is short...they loved it

Quote:
In short, the FR-S is a very, very good car. To clarify, while the turn in is excellent, it's the balance and responsiveness at the limit that left me impressed. The inherent chassis balance is so good, it handled decreasing radius turns better than any stock-stock car I've driven. It certainly lived up to my expectations and is up there with the Cayman R on my list of most impressive and communicative first drives.

**** thought the car would be a good fit for CS and his opinion should carry the most weight. I have to agree given that it would raise the bar in DS or ES.

The *only* weakness that we had concern over was what felt to be a relatively short 2nd gear. Nobody knew what the speed was supposed to be, however none of us felt it was over 60. Keep in mind this was a preproduction sample.

They're going to sell as many of these cars as they bring over. I want one.

They drove an FR-S which is slightly different in the rear.

Scion brought it down, not a Subaru dealer. It was a pre-production model and did not have the final ECU tune, so where rev limiter was set is unknown.
