Default ECU reset, doesnt start on the first try?

MY00 RS with ganzflow:
When i reset my ECU, the car will not start up on the first try. It will crank, sound like its starting and then as soon as i let go of the key it dies. Try to start again and it starts right up.

Is this normal or expected after an ECU reset?

Background info on how i reset the ECU:
Cold engine--->disconnect the neg terminal and let sit for 20 or so minutes. Reconnect the neg wire and turn off alarm wih remote. start car with just a key turn. let warm up 15 minutes or so. Turn off car, turn on car, go for drive of redline a few times in first and second.

I hav't had any probles or CELs, just curious on this.

Thanks in advance for your comments.

When I did an ECU reset for my RS, it had a hard time idleing at first. It seems to have eventually re-learned how though which is good cause it would almost die at stop lights.

I think it would just be part of the learning process. Remember to be a good teacher and take your car on many long sweeping runs!

Actually, if it DOESNT stall out...it wasnt done right. It's SUPPOSED to stall on the first try.

If the engine is completly cold (overnight sitting) then the engine should have no problem stalling out, but if its even just a little warm it wont stall and then it doesnt learn the initial A/F ratios right.
