Unhappy 1993 subaru legacy L spline problem

I hope this is not something terrible.. I have never had this happen to me before so I am not sure... SO thought I would ask someone. I removed the axles on both sides of differental on the passengers side the spline will come out of the differental easy by just pulling on it... the drivers side is solid will not come out... this is the spline that stays in the differental when you take out the pin and pull the axle away from it... so I am really worried and could not find anything online so far about this happening. does anyone no whats up as to why it will not stay in tight like the other one does?

thank you in advance
