I'm guessing the APS 525 FMIC was to big? I don't think so, my question is, can ETS Fab a core that is same size as the 525? I rather have my core 3" thick and have it longer, I'm sure there is a way to make the core thinner so less trimming is needed on the bumper and will look better. This is a question, I'm not a intercooler expert.

I don't see why not, we just need to make a section for the MAF. Shouldn't be a problem.
