The most important thing is to keep heat on the paint when rolling. Otherwise it will chip and peel the paint. We should all pitch in and buy a roller for SWIC club use.

Yeah gotta go nice and slow and make sure the paint in warm. It makes it flexible.

So we should shop around for one. Harbor Freight had them for around $80 at one time. I'd toss $20 in for one. Even know I don't need it for my WRX. But I have a leggy wagon that in the future might.

It would really take like 5 bucks a piece and then leave it a mods place, or whatever.

Should be done

if anyone knows Marcos let him know I need to get my roll on ASAP

I used heat and still had some hair-line cracks in the paint. It was on the folded over edge where it could not be seen standing by the car, but I was worried about rust. So I ended up sanding the inside lip/rounded edge down to the metal and then priming it and paining it black. I masked off the exterior of the fender so there was no over-spray. It is holding up excellently. No issues so far and you can't tell it's been done unless you look from the underside. This should prevent any rust from starting even though the changes are fairly low here in southern AZ.

My other recommendation is to go slowly. Too much too past will make the outer fender lip wavey and it will look like a hack job. The rears aren't so bad as the metal is thicker and better supported back there, but in the front, it's very easy to screw things up quickly. Fun fact: the 05-07 STi's fenders are pre-cut/rolled from the factory.

Even though I'm up in Prescott now, I know I'll need a roller for my wagon some time in the future. I'll chip in if someone with paypal wants to coordinate the purchase. Go SWIC.

kpluiten thats a great idea I will be doing the same if I have small cracks.

and oneamuck thats awesome, I think I might start a real thread with a poll or somezing for a FR for the SWIC

Easiest thing is for one of us ballers to just go buy it, go to a meet, punch some faces in and get the money. Kidding, but I am sure we can coordinate to pay someone back if we dont want to do the pay pal idea

Sedona: You going to be at the west side meet this week?
We should get to together and talk about the roller. I'll do some price shopping in the next few

Twinscroll- probably not to be honest I never go to those things because I usually work or had just gotten out of work.

do a little research if you can and figure out maybe which one does the job better then another if that even can be the case.

brendan04wrx - thats cool I know I need it asap so that might be another option, could we just borrow it or what?
