So tonight...

I was driving home tonight it was about 1250 am and BOOM! Hit a pot hole that I missed while scanning the road. Pulled off onto a side road in eagle river right next to Homestead elementary. Stopped under a street light to have a better view of things. Got in my car, grabbed the jack and the donut…no jack handle. IDIOT I must have removed it when I cleaned the car. Oh well I’ll take 3 times as long and use a screw driver.

No one drives by until I see two big headlights in the distance. The car passes and I noticed it was a bugeye by the tails. Shrug my shoulders and I keep working, then I hear “chug chug chug chug” I pop my head over the hood...

“I wasn’t going to stop but then I saw your car and I had to turn around to come check on you man.” The driver flipped a u-turn and came back to make sure everything was alright. Unfortunately his jack handle was missing as well! But seriously what are the odds of the only car on this back road at 1 am being a Bugeye?! We struck up a conversation but I unfortunately forgot to ask his name. So to the black wingless bugeye that I’ve seen a couple times in Eagle River, I salute you and thanks for coming back for one of your own.

It just made me laugh at how pissed I was about getting a flat when I was already tired and just wanted to get home, and then a coincidence like that occurred. I guess went from grinding gears to laughing my ass off, but at the end of the day it brings me back to this motto-

Always try. I passed a gold rs on the highway once, took the next exit at ft rich, and came back though Arctic valley and tried to lend a hand. Turns out it was katealynn and she had ran out of gas
