Default STI BRZ Will Not Be Turbo

Some news on the STI BRZ... Sounds like they are shooting for 250 hp without a turbo... And be able to rev to 7500 rpm

It is likely to produce around 250bhp. "We can definitely develop the intake system," Atake said. "There is certainly room for improvement there." In addition, there is likely to be a freer-flowing exhaust and modifications to the engine's variable valve control system, along with an even higher rev limit of around 7,500rpm.

Based on what Ive read. Another 50Hp is probally all you want out of a BRZ. BRZ STi will be a tire roaster with too much power and not driven properly. You can only accelerate at the limit of traction after an apex so much and anymore power will only ignite the rubber. Drifters will go nuts but damn if your drifting you aint squat unless you have a motor swap. So in other words BRZ STi will be a pure drivers dream come true, or should I say more true.

Only 7500? A 100 RPM increase? I'd expect more with some quality springs, retainers and valves.

I'd fall in love with an 8k redline.

Sounds cool, but it sounds like the base could be easily modded close to the sti. More so than the wrx at least.
