On a 2005 Subaru STi.
Here's what happened: I was on a 2 1/2 hour drive home and around half way I stopped at a gas station and right when I hit the exit ramp it kinda dipped and gave my car a nice bump. Right afterwards I had the CEL turn on so I figured I knocked something loose at the bump. Anyway I couldn't find anything wrong at the gas station so I drove the rest of the way with no cruise control. When I checked my CEL code this is what popped up. On the scanner it said Cam Postion Sensor wasn't positioned right or something like that (which OEM general motors reads that code for that problem) but on the Internet that code reads as a OCV Solenoid Valve Signals a Circuit short. (bank 2). First question is. Which ran wrong? Did the scanner read the right problem but gave me the wrong code as in gave me the GM code instead of the Subaru code for that or did it give me the right code just wrong description for the code? I already searched for solutions on the p2093 and it said check loose grounds which I checked the one by the battery and the one by the air filter since those are the only two I've ever loosened but didn't clear code. As I was typing this up I went outside and turned my car on to see if it had a rough idle... I had my door open and everything seemed fine still had the code... I noticed my a/c was left on and shut it off and right away boom no CEL? Uhmmm... Okay? I guess I'll post this to see what you guys thing then I'll keep you updated.
