Subaru GO Extra-S 75w-90 is great for the gearbox, and available at most dealerships. The last few years I have been using AMSOIL Severe Gear 75w-90 in the gearbox and diff of my autocross and rallycross cars with great shiftability and no failures to date. Before I had used Motul Gear300 75w-90 but was having a hard time finding it locally.

i swapped over to subaru extra-s. it made shifts smoother, even in the dead cold of winter. it is hard to find though. it retails for about 15 a quart shipped.
