Default tint on the bumper

Hey how's it going I was wondering if anyone out there has clear tint wrapped on their bumpers. My friend told me some people do it to keep rock chips and scratches. And does it really work?

I have to take more pictures.
I also installed carbon fiber on the roof, tint on the fog lights and tailights.
I'll post more pictures sometime next week.
