Default Coilovers/Wheel/Tire Fitment 08 2.5i

Hey guys I have a question about fitting wheels on my car. So I plan on getting the BC BR Coilovers for my car (2008 2.5i hatch), and then I am going to need summer wheels and tires. I would really like to get black rota grids or black xxr 522's. But I dont know what size I should get, my friend told me if I get the coilovers I could get 18x9's with like +15 offset. But I dont understand how offset affects how the wheels fits. I want to go as wide as possible without having stupid camber, because this is my dd and i still need it functional. Can you guys point me in the right direction? Thanks.

There is a sticky thread explaining offset and or offset questions.

Short answer is your buddy is an idiot. 18x9 +15 will not fit without massive fender work on your car.

18X9 +15 is not even close. If you really want to run a 9" wide wheel you would want to be in the +35 to 42 range. Depending on the size tire you want will then determine how much mods to the fenders / qtrs and negative camber you will need to make them fit.

Do your self a favor and don't put a big heavy wheel and tire set up on your car. It's just not a good idea on a 2.5i. Find something nice in a 8" wide wheel and tire set up that will fit your car. Just my 2 cents...

Lack of power - putting heavy wheels and tires on a slow car only makes it that much slower - qtrs = quarter panels / rear fenders

Oh ok well i dont care that much about power, but what will i have to do to the fenders? I was just going to roll them, would that be enough?

Can't answer that question until you decide which wheel and tire combo you want. That is why I posted a link to the wheel fitment thread so you can figure that out for yourself.......
