Default grounding mod rocks!!

So I decided try this out and see if it helped at all. I picked up about 20 feet of 4 gauge ground from soundtrack along with gold terminals and a battery terminal that could handle four 4 gauge terminals. After an easy install, I start the car.
First off, quiter with AC for sure. And more powerfull. This helps first gear with ac for sure.
All stumbles and hesitation are gone. Pulls to redline rapidly. I use to hit around 14psi with a good launch in first. After the install I hit 15.8 with a good launch. I don't know how but It allowed me to reach higher boost under normal driving conditions.
In short, to anyone who hasn't done this, you should. I have been smiling all day about the difference. Don't buy the hks for $130. I built my kit with monster cable everything for like 40 bucks. I got a discount on that stuff but still. I'm sure everyone has a hookup somewhere that sells cables. That stuff is marked up 60pts. It even made my stereo sound a little cleaner . If anything, it is worth it for the ac.

Are you talking dbuffington's grounding mod in the FFI forum? How long have you had this done? Has your ECU had time to learn, allowing the hesitations to come back, or didn't they come back???

You used Monster Power Cable's and conectors? I'm asking becouse I want to do this and make it look good. Got pic's?

I did the grounding mod with red speaker wire and it seems that some hesitation has come back, but it may have to do with the 3/16" connector mod.

<------always does mods in pairs for some reason.

Yeah, this mod is great... for about 2 weeks. Then it all comes back. Atleast I have cool looking blue wire in the engine bay?

I"ve only had it for two days now. The hesitation has not come back yet. This is the common grounding mod discussed in a lot of forums. I ran ground wires from the strut, both sides of the intake manifold, and the inner fender wall right behind the battery. You also need a battery terminal to connect them to the neg. post. I do have pics. they are too big. I will mess with it later. Me and my son gotta go.

Have to wonder if it is due to doing the mod in Parallel that causes it to come back. In reading one of the posts in the forced induction forum, and applying my electronics schooling, it does make more sense to use one continuous run of wire from point to point. This would make one connection to the negative terminal on your battery.

The idea behind this is to eliminate the differences in resistance due to the wire lengths. The differences would be very small, but it could throw precise readings off all the same. I am going to give this a try, but going to do it in serial instead of parallel. Crossing the fingers here hopeing that one resistance reading will prevent the reemerging hesitation issue.

Interesting. I don't remember reading of anything that threaded them all together as one continues ground. It's worht a shot I guess. Especially considering the 5 pt arrangement didn't work for more than 2 weeks.
