Sorry don't have anything solid like a invoice scan to prove it at the moment. Got the pricing from the sales manager at my Subaru dealership. He got it from his regional rep today.

Ahhh, interesting. The pricing will be unveiled officially tomorrow at the NY Auto Show (according to rumor.)
Those numbers seem in line with what I was expecting, although I'm more curious as to how punished the Canucks are gonna be with the Canadian pricing. (Most other Subaru models are at a 25% premium up here over USD pricing.) *fingers crossed* |

If that's true, I'm in for a BRZ this year (depending on screw-Canada-conversions).

If that is the case, then it will be within my price range. Anything more, I'm afraid I'll be buying a WRX. If the rumors are true, price should be released in the next few days. I guess I'll keep holding my breath

At that price I see more BRZ's selling than Scions. With HID's, Nav and a Limited Slip only $1000 more is well worth it imo!!

Scion comes with the LSD. They are mechanically identical.

It is a $1140 difference. FRS is 24,200 MSRP= 24,930 with destination. BRZ is $25,295 MSRP = $26,070 with destination. Last edited by 53x12; 04-04-2012 at 10:37 PM. Reason: Updated for price breakdown |

Mechanically identical, but the BRZ has more standard features right?
I've been trying to rep the Toyota this whole time, because I figured there would be a multi-thousand dollar difference between it and the BRZ. Now I'm not so sure... Though, knowing Subaru Canada and their pricing history, it will probably come in at $30,000 up here. |

Correct, the BRZ has HIDs, navigation, and a few other things.

Different fender (fake vents), bumper, dash treatment, suspension setup, seat material (cloth in FRS is different than cloth in BRZ premium), speedometer color/design, and rear trunk lining. I think those are the major ones besides HIDS and nav.

Word still has it that the suspension tuning is different. The FRS allegedly has stiffer REAR springs, which encourages oversteer, while the BRZ is allegedly carried on stiffer FRONT springs to encourage stability.

If those prices are accurate, I'm in. The Premium is slightly more than I initially thought it'd be, and the Limited is slightly less.

The BRZ Limited costs LESS than the WRX Premium (and $2000 less than the WRX Limited), but you get accouterments that you'd only get on the WRX Limited, minus the moonroof of course. That sounds like a deal. Limited trim models bought at MSRP will hit near the $30K OTD mark depending on tax.
The difference between FR-S and BRZ Premium screams "BUY THE BRZ!!" to me. We'll see what availability is like, though. Of course the FR-S and BRZ Premium both came in higher than I expected while the Limited came in around where I would have liked to see it, but lower than expected. Overall, I find the prices to be fair, especially for the Limited. |

Seems everyone here is fine paying MSRP so If you have not already worked out deal, then Pay what ever the MSRP Window sticker says, plus your tag tax & title. Make sure dealer tag & title fee is what state actually charges. TRY NOT to pay dealer fees. Dealers already count BRZ as SOLD so to them your done but most will still sale car minus dlr fee (doc, admin, processing) but dont miss out so Pay dealer fee if they walk you out. If you let them consider you as SOLD, they will & you can get a little in the end. Dealers don't make squat from you. They make more from SOA when you are 100% satisfied on your surveys & when they sell trades. The more New Subaru's they sell the more SOA allocates them & potential for trade ins is higher with bigger inventory. Plus it's a RARE ZENITH!!! Resale is going to hold VERY WELL. But who's going to want to re-sell? ANYBODY??? 1st to re-sell on NASIOC will be 3yrs from now if ever.

I'll bet that Subaru dealerships will be fixing the price at MSRP on nearly all of these due to Scion's Pure Pricing and the fact that they have what they have.

Checked Subaru's website this morning, disappointed by lack of pricing. Got an automated e-mail at lunch from Subaru that says check the site. Sure enough, webiste now shows official MSRP of:
Premium: $25,495 Limited: $27,495. I've had my deposit down on one since February 2nd. Waiting for my dealer to call me back to iron out the specifics. http://www.subaru.com/brz |

So with the roughly $8k additional for the STi over the WRX Premium we could see anywhere from a $33k to $35k price for the BRZ STi S202 Type-V Tetsuya Yamano Edition .

Looks like my dealer was off by $200. Not bad with the pricing.
