Default flashing XPT Roms without wideband 02 sensor

So I recently set myself on reflashing using an OBD2 cable I had made, and had a few questions pertaining to throwing a Stage 2 map on a car that likely lacks the part requisites for such a map. Performance parts include:

(Vehicle is an 04 WRX MT)
-3" turbo back exhaust
-walbro 255lph pump
-(Soon to be completed) Uppipe.

I'd much rather go with a stage 1, but I can't seem to find any (free) tunes around. I don't have a wideband 02 sensor, so would I be able to, on the basis of this vehicle being a moderately-driven daily driver, refine a stage 2 tune down using ECU sensor readings? Would it be easier, with what I have, to tweak a stock map up, or tweak a stage 2 down?

Thanks in advance,

Subaru ECU has methods to compensate for many things, so I'd just flash Stage 2 map and tune boost with the WG actuator, not touching the map itself.
When you're happy, drive around, check for knock with Learning View and RomRaider.
I don't think it's worth fiddling around with the map, if you plan some "hardware" changes soon.
