Default Subispeed Warning

Hey just a fyi

I use one credit card and one credit card only to order car parts. Just the other day I purchased a part off SubiSpeed since that transaction I have had 3 fraudulent charges get declined.

The number had to have gotten stolen there since the last car part i ordered was 3 months ago and I don't use this card regularly.

So just a FYI if you recently purchased anything there check your accounts.

Subsided please check on your end as well. Make sure your systems are not compromised. I do not mean to give these people a bad rep its not their fault if they got hacked or something.

Sorry for the bad news.

I ordered something off nvidias website a year or two back and has a pair of fraud charges 30 minutes later. I don't blame the company. More the payment service company and internet security.

We use SSL direct connection to our processor which is paypal. We do not store or keep any card information. All transaction information is directly with Paypal via their merchant services. If Paypal had a breach then there should be a story about this on CNN soon I would think. Their services are always very secure which is why we work with them.

The other sites we manage also use the same connection and they have had zero issues. I highly doubt it has anything to do with our site.

I am sorry I brought this to everyone's attention. It could be a false alarm but I am super glad subi sport has excellent customer service and is on top of this.

Thank you for your email and thank you for assuring all of us of the safety.

Yes, anyone can check a host's vulnerability using sites such as Norton.

PayPal issues warning e-mails to customers as these vulnerabilities become exposed. You receive them no matter if your site was affected or not. They also have very specific requirements as far as security goes to utilize them for merchant card services.

In the past year we have not been susceptible to threats via Poodle, Shellshock, or Heartbleed. However, we have issued a new SSL certificate as of May 11th using new keys due to the previous certificate reaching its expiration date.

The e-commerce platform is always patched to current release security wise, and we have scanned files for injected malicious code.

We will continue to monitor our site and speak with "'RH" to ensure that this was a false alarm.

V/R,
Chris

Hello,

We are sorry for the troubles you and your girlfriend are experiencing. Please read this thread thoroughly. Despite our research into the matter (please refer to OP), no one was able to verify that the first user had an issue because of our site.

The first step would be sending us information about the order so we can see if these are just pre authorizations that lead the credit card company to believe there might be something wrong.

Personally, I just received a debit card yesterday and tried to purchase something online. My account was deactivated because the wrong zip was on the card, and I tried to hit send 4 times. My mistake. Got it sorted out with my bank and the card activated.

You would be doing the community a great service if you were able to contact us and give us some of this information. We process hundreds of orders a day. One important thing to note about the way our site was developed is that it DOES NOT store credit card information. We scanned the code during the last possible incident for malicious code and did not find any. The only way the information could have been taken would be in transit to the credit card processor who is Paypal. They are one of the top processors of online transactions now. Even if you use Paypal or just a plain credit card, they are the company that processes the payment for us. We opted not to store credit card numbers because of the potential threat of a database leak. We are proactive in our efforts to make your experience as safe as possible.

Every morning the software platform is reviewed for available security updates. If one is available, they are applied within a few hours. Paypal also conducts site audits to ensure security is up to par, and we always pass.

Please let us know if you already contacted us as we could not find an e-mail. It's quite possible it was a transaction from weeks or months ago that would have been the cause as we have hundreds of transactions daily and no other reports of any issues.

EDIT: We do see that you just signed up for NASIOC and this is your first post. If you didn't know, we can be reached at [email protected].

Thank you,
Chris

Fraudulent charges don't always happen right after making a purchase. Any of the other sites you've ordered parts from could have stored your information and been compromised.

Back when Home Depot got hacked, I hadn't made a purchase from them for over a year, and to this day I suspected my fraudulent charges to be because of them.

As for reaching Subuspeed via email, I had an issue with a previous order. I received a plate relocator with a missing bolt - after not hearing back for 3 days I email Grimmspeed and they sent the missing hardware.

Not a huge deal and perhaps there was something going on and my mail fell through the cracks. Still bothered me a bit.

Please disclose your order number so we can review what happened. We're always looking to improve.

We do successfully answer hundreds of emails a day. Even one slipping through the cracks is unacceptable.

Thank you

So I posted about this last august and was asked to take down the post because "we process through paypal and we are 100% secure" My girlfriends info was stolen on a card she just activated. Now we both get letters in the mail that they were breached in the same time frame that it was "impossible" and we have to go check our credit to make sure our info isnt being used. I would only buy from this site moving forward with a pre paid card. I will never input my information on that site ever again. I am pissed beyond belief...I received the same letter above and as far as the law says they need to notify everyone affected. I am going to see if there is any legal recourse being they were notified immediately our information was stolen. So much for your secure processing...and yes I only created a username here last time to jump on this post when i researched "credit card info stolen on subispeed site" after we had our credit card info stolen.
