Thanks Tom!

Till next time, and let us know if you have any vibrations or knocking from the rear of the car in part with those bushings.

P.S. It's always a pleasure working with you, I'm actually pretty glad that we never pulled any triggers on that V8 btw , just heard of two having some issues that were sold through some JDM engine suppliers.

Holy crap ! That would really stink to get a JDM and have it come in bad. I will PM you when I get the outback tie rods to setup an appt.

Look no further when looking for a vendor! Amazing customer service by Mark. Hes quick to reply, and easy to get a hold of (unlike a lot of shops in Chicago). The prices are unbeatable, and the service/work is great. He was honest and up front on everything, and very knowledgeable. I didnt get a huge amount of work done, but he still made me feel welcome. He helped me pick out my next mods, and suggested preventative maintenance items to get done to keep the stock components from failing. After have some things installed Mark asked me before I even paid, how did I like the feeling of the work that had been done, and was I happy with the result (brake service). Most shops want to get you in, take your money and get you out; not here! Also APM supports the Subaru community, so it shows to me that they genuinely care. With the work done today, they've definitely made me a repeat customer. Its honestly hard to beat this kind of service. Thanks Mark and to everyone at APM!

Thanks Josh, sincerely appreciate it and looking forward to seeing you Wed. for the meet!

We'll talk some more about the preventative stuff, I'm glad that you're enjoying the brakes!

Had my WRX in for Koni inserts, bump steer kit. They put together the struts, then once they were assembled I dropped off the car. There is a rental car company within walking distance, which was handy. Mark called me during the day with updates, and was able to get the car done in a timely manner despite some problems related to the car's age and condition: a broken knuckle and fried bearings. All in all, with the unexpected additional work, APM was able to get it all done by the next day at noon. The car is revitalized and handles better than ever. Thanks, APM!

Mark and APM were very communicative through email in helping me to diagnose my problem (broken firewall welds). This was my first trip to APM. I was treated really well. In fact, even before I could get out of the car, Mark came out to greet me and looked at my issue. Sure enough, I needed some major work done. The guys showed me exactly what was wrong and explained to me the various options I had. Then, we set out a timetable for the repair, and Mark took me to Enterprise and made sure I got a discounted rate. Best of all, the car was ready over a day early, and the repair is solid. They did not exceed their estimated cost. I have a 2008 Subaru STI and wouldn't take it anywhere else for servicing.

These guys came recommended to me by one of my good friends. I needed to have a stage 2 clutch installed so I gave Mark a call and we set up an appointment for this morning to get the work done. Mark was very professional on the phone and asked all the right questions to make sure I was getting everything I needed before hanging up. Flash forward to this morning. As soon as I got into the shop at 9am Mark was very knowledgeable and friendly. I wasn't waiting in their waiting area while the work was done and the entire time I was talking to Mark and asking questions about which options I had for the future on my car. He had an answer for everything and his prices were phenomenal. Now the bad news...While my clutch was going in, his mechanic (whom is awesome, btw, because he installed my new clutch/flywheel in only 2 hours) found that my turbo had shaft play and was going. After this revelation, I spoke with Mark about my options for the car at this point and we mocked up a basic plan for which direction I should go in. His prices were bottom dollar and he gave me multiple options so I didn't feel rail-roaded into any particular solution. I am doing some research on my own along with the basic road map that Mark has laid out for me. I will touch base with him this coming week and we are going to get a new turbo/intercooler and probably coilovers put in as well.

Overall these guys run a fantastic operation. They were incredibly professional, polite, knowledgeable and their prices were insanely fair/reasonable. I would recommend them to everyone on this site and plan on giving them my business in the (very near) future.

Mr. Bastyr, thank you and once again yourself along with everyone else can't imagine the gratitude and appreciation we have that we can help you stay on the road and enjoy the car. We're glad that we can accommodate in anyway and lets hope the next visit (hopefully for the standard routine stuff and nothing too crazy like the last one) will go just as smooth and timely.

We'll be seeing you at the meets coming up hopefully (once the horrid weather breaks of course).

Sir, just as I've mentioned above, thank YOU. Coming in, hanging out and chatting us up is what it's all about. It's about having an experience when going to a shop, not to sit there and have spite about spending money. The unfortunate part of my job is to relay any and all issues along with the price tag next to them, the bonus? I try to get you to feel GOOD about having to spend the money because guess what, we were all on that side of the counter at one point or another. Whether it's myself or a tech, we know that sitting on the couch expecting the worst is generally what's going on so before the fear of god is put in play we like to allow you guys to take it all in. I'm glad that even though you've had issues we could still smile and laugh about the woes.

We'll keep talking through emails and whatnot so we'll see each-other later this week possibly.

Thank you to the both of you for the review!

-Mark

Thumbs up APM thumbs up redux

140k original owner REX--my 29 year old radiologist daughter's pride and joy (though she has mentioned she would like to drive a 2015 when available). Mark and the crew did everything asked for and then some. In truth, while it feels a bit " looser" than new (delivered on her 17th birthday gift), it drives and goes better than new, this from her car guy 62 year old father and a Porsche 911 owner for 17 years. I cannot recommend APM more positively and as long as any family member, friend or Subi enthusiast owns one will be my #1 recommendation.

Thanks Mr. Larson!!! It's great to hear that everything is tip top. For some reason, we can't get it out of our heads that the car is of such age. We had another car here of the same age and a little less mileage and the battles we had with anything hardware related was atrocious (every bolt, nut, clip was seized in some way or somehow).

It's a great example of what a clean Subaru should be of the early 2000's. You received many praises for the cleanliness of the body and the car in general so make sure she keeps it up!

I can see the Porsche guy in you without a doubt. You should bring it by sometime...would love to see how what shape you've kept that thing in (seeing as the Rex is nearly pristine).

Thanks again and maybe we'll see you for the BBQ in the summer time!

I brought my 2006 WRX into APM for a catback install. The quote I was given was unbeatable and below any other quotes I received. The cost was actually under the quote I was given. Upon removal of the stock exhaust they noticed my stock down pipe was so rusted it was falling apart at the flange and recommended installing an aftermarket DP. I was planning on upgrading the DP in the near future anyways so I decided to agree. Mark gave me multiple options on brand, catted vs catless, and explained the pros/cons of each.

After coming to a decision, Mark was able to fit me in just 2 days later to install the DP, boost gauge, and tune. Mark advised me to set up a ride as the install of the DP, gauge, and tune would take quite awhile. Since I live fairly close I planned to just walk home while they were doing the work. It was raining when I brought my car to back and I didn't want to walk home in the rain so I planned on waiting the whole time. Mark was nice enough to give me a ride home so I didn't have to wait at their shop all day. Mark was very communicative while the work was being done and called me a few times giving me updates and asking me questions. When my car was done, he drove it to come pick me up and let me drive it back to his shop so I could get a feel of it with the new tune. He even suggested I do a nice pull to make sure I was happy.

Needless to say, I am beyond happy with the service APM provided. Mark and his team at APM are top of the line and have gained me as a customer for my future plans/routine maintenance. APM makes you feel like a friend vs a customer. Thanks APM!

Nick, thank you sir, we appreciate the write up and review along with allowing us to work on your vehicle. It's nice when we can accompany a client home because we have that perk for the pick up service...easiest way to ensure a client is happy is toe surprise them with the car and let them get on it a couple times. The smiles and joy that come from that is what we're about and as corny as it sounds, it makes are job feel that much more fun and hobby like.

We'll be here, drop us a ring or send us a message, we'll be more than happy to help you out with whatever you may need in the future, even if it's just some conversations.

If you check out the Album "Night & Day" on APM's Facebook page you can see my car.

This journey began nearly two months ago with a routine clutch install. Little did I know I would reach the end with a face-melting, nausea inducing beast. This car goes like hell now and corners like a go-kart on steroids. Mark was there for me every step of the way. He helped me with my selection of parts all through the process and I am extremely satisfied with the result. He did not try and upsell me on anything and just showed me what all my available options were. Maciek is one hell of a stand up guy and by far the most honest owner of a shop that I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Not only that, but he did an amazing job with the fabrication and tuning for my car as well. And I don't know the name of their mechanic, but to me he's like The Stig. Quiet but bad as f**k. That dude is a surgeon in the shop. He changed my clutch in like 2 hours while I watched.... by himself...yup.

I can't tell you all how satisfied with these guys I am. I would consider them my friends after this build. At the end of the day, they are some good honest dudes that love fast cars and love what they do. You couldn't ask for more out of a shop. You can see the passion in their work and they have me as their customer forever.
