Default Slimming down

Ok so its time to start trimming down the engine bay. Im tired of seeing a million vacuum lines and hoses and crap I do not need. I have searched all over and found very little info on what exactly we can spare on our motors. If anyone has any info and would like to share, it would be greatly appreciated.

Unabomber's Manifesto has a lot of good information about nearly everything to do with these cars.

Also, the top 7.5 tips for getting along on NASIOC is also a good read.

I would think a question like this would be better fit for the Technical section of Nasioc, as a wider range of people would see it there.

Check out the Weight Reduction Thread. Has a lot of good info. I think a major clean up would be the ABS and Brake Booster delete from ChaseBays. SeaScooby will be helping with that once I get my Wilwoods on, since he just did it to his car. Also, look at killing the evap to get rid of some hoses.

Your doing it all wrong bubba. If you want to get the answer your looking for you need to have a friend go in on it with you and post the answer you know is wrong.

For example:

You- hey what do I need to do in my engine bay to get rid of weight and un needed emissions crap?

Your friend- what you need to do is (an this is important to get at least one thing right so they don't write you off right away) remove your air pump and get the plates to bock off the holes. Then you say something like remove screws from your top hats an get rid of 1 lug nut on each tire cause if Hondas can do it. Why can't you?

Here is where it gets interesting.

Responder number 1- Dude where did you get your info? Your an idiot.
Responder number 2- check out this sight (everything you need to know and the stuff you didn't inbetween.
Responder number 3- strait to the point with good ideas.

There you have it! That's how you get the info you need. Keep in mind there could be more responders inbetween 1 and 2 to tell you how much you suck at life but hey you got the answer you needed so who cares right?

Good luck and happy questioning to all!

Sorry for raping your eyes with bad spelling and grammar. I went to public school.
