That sux man. Hopefully the stealership will take care of the problem quick. If I'm not mistaken, you're not the only one to complain about a squeaky seat.

When ya call SOA be sure and say that your "buddy" Charlie in Florida has the same problem and he has spoken to Desire'. Otherwise theyre just going to say they havent had any other complaints.

Got the car back, still squeaks, should I just live with it or demand a new seat back?

Call SOA and say your seat is squeaking and that charlie told you Desire' would be the one since she already has at least one or two complaints. That way you don't get lied to.

So today, I unzipped my seat and started messing with the springs in the back...problem seams to be gone, just go in there and push it a few times and rock them around

Thanks! Tornado- I'm going out to the garage right now. If it doesn't fix it I'm considering having the front seats swapped or re-upholtered. Its just those damned airbags and sensors. Otherwise, I'd have spent the cash and bought some fancy Recaros for it by now.

I'm going to take the seat apart and see about putting something between or around the springs as I'm 99.999% sure its the springs in the top of the backrest.

When does it make the noise? Perhaps when you go over bumps?

My passenger seat back vibrated when I went over bumps. I solved the problem by raising the headrest a notch or two, and noise went away.

No luck. Man I'm really starting to develop some very hateful feelings towards Subaru. As much as iI hate domestics, my Focus was a great car and Ford always took care of me with any problem whatsoever. Even after the warranty expired. SOA seems like a bunch of slick talkers who just cant wait till the piddly 36.000 warranty is up. SOA- yall suck and in this economy I hope you all lose everything. Hopefully the folks at SOA get their jobs outsourced... I've had better Customer Support from folks in Indonesia than at SOA!

It all varies, sometimes its over the bumps. sometimes its just when i am driving.
It kind of sounds like air is blowing out of just the front passenger side vent even when the fan is off. I dont know what it is, I have to bring the car in.

Actually Subaru and Hyundai are the two companies that actually turned a profit in this past recession.

Anyways, sorry to hear that you're having problems. If you're having a repeatable problem, are you able to show them?

Yeah they refuse to sit in my car and listen to the seat. I've been to the dealer five times and have had at least twenty phone calls and emails to and from SOA. Basically I have to take the car 60 miles away through traffic from hell on a workday to see a different dealer. Being that I'm working on parts for a serious gov't job I cant just take off from work for a sqeaky seat that the next dealer is just going to ignore like this one does. At this point I just wish nothing but VERY ILL WILL towards Subaru as a company. They ABSOLUTELY DON'T GIVE A F**K ABOUT ME OR MY CAR.
Look what James Wilson is going through... They don't care about my car they cant even fix his six weeks later. Crooks.

Alao- imo the recession isn't "past". We have yet to see the effects of the wall street takeover...

Dealer just authorized a seat swap for me from a brand new 2012 sport premium...helps to have a good dealer. This was after one unsuccessful attempt to fix the squeak.

I just called my service advisor, he said he will ask subaru, called me back next day saying i will get a new seat.

I don't understand why your dealer isn't fixing it? Are you able to replicate the squeek in front of them?

So let me understand this a bit better. You went to the dealership with a squeeky seat, and they refuse to fix a problem that you can replicate? That just doesn't make any sense. What is their reasoning? What is the dealer saying and what is SOA saying?

Just curious how big are the people that are having seat problems.

200+ lbs?
