Depends on how things go down, but back in April I ordered a 2013 Subaru BRZ Limited Crystal Black Silica 6-speed manual with gas lid sticker, rear under spoiler, chrome fender badge and rear bumper applique. It should be here very soon now.

I'ma go hard.

Oh no you didn't! Damn Chano, that's gotta be 50 HP right there!

I just kid ya, I'm just jealous really, you've had all these new toys.

Hahaha I actually LOL'd. Don't hate on the sticker, son!

Don't be jelly, Dom! I'm just trying to take advantage of my youth, that's all. I'm single, I have no kids, I moved back home, I don't have any bad habits, I don't eat out all the time, I don't travel out of state, and I'm not subscribed to anything expensive (just basic NetFlix and Planet Fitness Black Card). I do still want a car that's fun to drive, I'm done with turbos, and I want better gas mileage, cheaper insurance and lower monthly payments. I also have no desire to learn another brand at the moment, so this is what I decided to get.

Since I suck at saving money for emergencies, it's been nice spending it on family to help out around the house. Now I'll get to help out even more since there's only the Chevy Silverado that needs paid off with about $2k left to pay, so we can work on projects like the garage we plan on building for working on cars and housing my older brother properly.

I just got word that the BRZ will be in next week, so I have time to show the WRX off to some more people still.

^^ That's awesome Chano. I would do the same thing in your position. I saddled myself with credit cards and student loans right out of high school. Have fun with it, like I said, I'm jealous of the toys you've had, and this one too. I'd love to get a new car to play with, but it's not in the cards for me at the moment. Good luck with the BRZ, and have fun with it. I'm sure we'll see lots of it on here.

Almost, but not quite. BRZ is less with AllState and my payments will be less because I'm paying less for the BRZ. Don't forget I got a WRX LIMITED new with tons of extras, so I paid much more at the time than I really had to. There's a reason the Limited is sold much less than the Premium or Base trims.

Plus the WRX has a stigma attached to it. The BRZ hasn't been out long enough for it to be properly assessed.

The guy liked the car. Here's my dilemma:

He's looking at it for his stepson. His wife wants it for her son. He's 16-years-old and a Junior... The guy thinks it's too much car, but his wife doesn't think so.

I feel morally obligated to not let a teenager have this car. Call me weird, but it feels wrong.

I know it's not my responsibility, but sheesh!

Actually, I DID mention to him the VDC always being on and that the cars come detuned from the factory. I should have Paul throw on an even lesser tune.

I hear ya, Eric. I'm tryin'!

I gave in. Sold my pristine WRX to an 18 or 19 year old slope worker. When we were waiting on the bank for the loan he didn't even know that it required premium gas. Also said he was going to mod the crap out of it but had no clue what he was talking about.

Some times you can't really nitpick your cars next owner. For all you know the dealership will sell your trade in to an idiot that will blow it up after a month. But you'll get much less value on the car.

Sounds crappy, but I think it's time you think about yourself. Sell the car.

Yeah, I was thinking about that, too. At least these people have taken the effort to try and meet me. It's way too easy to just stroll into a dealership.

It's whatever. I FEEL it's wrong, but I gotta get this thing gone privately since I'm getting raped on the trade-in.

Let them know I have a 2010 STi for sale and I'll sell it to them. Since you're too chicken****.

Totally kidding of course. Just let them know it's not just any sports car. It's plenty powerful and can get people into trouble. AWD cars are not the be-all end-all to performance and safety.

If I was to learn a wise lesson, what better is a lesson learned sooner than later? Sell the damn thing and move on. Let the kid learn and experience for himself.

Exactly^^^^^

Just sell it to the couple. Unless you feel a strong attachment to the car, it shouldn't matter...just think of all the issues that have come along with it. Do you honestly care who ends up with it?
