Default Hybrid 18g turbo - SOLD!

Up for sale is my BNR hybrid 18g TD05 turbo. After I blew the welds we put on the IWG, I decided to upgrade to a Blouch 20g, so this one is just taking up space in my garage.

I had it on my car for roughly 6,000 miles, and picked it up from a TXIC member who also had it on his car for 6,000 miles, so it has approximately 12,000 total on it. No shaft play, turbine is in excellent condition, but as my car has an EWG setup, we used the actuator on this turbo for an additional bracket and therefore it does not have one on it.

It does have some small weld spots on the internal wastegate, but this turbo is perfect for an EWG setup.

Quick note; this turbo makes violent power. Since it is in a VF-39 housing with an 18g compressor wheel, it has low spool time and the power comes on immediately. It is not smooth like a typical TD06 18g, but you really get into the power quickly. AWDTuning checked it out after it was removed from my car, and it is in fine working condition with good seals. It's a little dirty right now from a crappy oil line, but I'll clean it up tomorrow and make it shiny.

Price is $500 OBO and I will ship. No lowball offers will even be considered. If you're looking for extra affordable power and quick spool times, you should consider this turbo. BNR has been making hybrid turbos for Legacys and Mazdas for a while, and people are pretty happy with them.

PM me for additional info.

Yep, should be. Make sure that you have bigger injectors and a larger fuel pump though, or you'll max yours out early.

I'm in Plano, and as stated in the listing, the turbo is $500 OBO. So make me an offer, because I'm certainly not going to throw out a basement asking price on it and then hope to get more money from someone else.

Can you explain what you mean by 'blowing the welds off' in your comments about the turbo. Is there some type of damage to it?

I guess I didn't explain it as well as I thought I did. We spot-welded the internal wastegate closed because I have an external wastegate setup. Well, I pushed through too much power and the welds popped open.

No damage or anything, but there is a small spot of metal on the internal wastegate where it use to be welded shut. It doesn't fact anything in any way, but it's there. You can see it in the second picture. Look at the internal wastegate and you can see a small weld spot on it.

Remember there are two Webbers. Gotta tell me which one before I throw you an astronomical price.

My penis has touched the inside of my apron many times. Not accidentally, either.
