just recently bought my first WRX and now I'm in the process of cleaning it up. The PO used it for road rallying and had all his rally equipment glued with Velcro and scaffolding tape to the passenger side of the dash. (kinda dangerous right above the airbag)
Anyway, he told me he tried to remove all the residue by sanding and scraping it off before I picked it up and I told him to stop, but it was too late.![]() Now I spend already a couple hours with goo off and soap to remove all of that stuff and got it all off, without damaging the surface everywhere else in the car . However he left deep marks and a rough surface right below the airbag, which is clean now but it still looks ugly. I could live with some of the deeper cuts, but I wonder if there is something besides replacing the dash that can be done here. (paint?) Also the painted center console parts are very scratched, anybody knows where to get matching paint to repaint it? Here is a picture of it and I will get a better close up tonight. ![]()

Yeah it's just that I'm saving money for more important things right now, like the t belt and stuff. Eventually I will replace it, was just wondering if I could make it look halfway good until then.
You mean this? http://www.donjer.com/howto.htm#Uses and this: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...ighlight=flock ![]() Thanks but no thanks ![]() |
