Default shortline riveted badge issue resolved

I called 1800- SUBARU3 and spoke to a rep who got David Ewing, service manager at shortline, on the line. He told me that any tuesday or friday, i can bring my car in and leave it for half a day. they drill out the old rivets, remove the badge, put in new rivets, and paint them to match. i know it's not ideal, but it's still something.

Guys just get an STI badge to cover the holes. Mine didn't come with rivets, I made sure before they got my 25g's.

Let us know how it turns out. I've got their badge as well that I've been trying to get rid of. Maybe include some pics of the finished product. Thanks-

I got my car from Shortline also. After I noticed the rivet job, I took it back there. Wound up moving the WRX badge over from the left side to the right. Look's ok but it would have been better for all if Shortline did it right in the 1st place.

I had......."had" those rivets in my trunk too under the key hole. I just moved my 2.5rs logo on top of the holes when I debadged my trunk. It worked and still looked good.

I also have those rivets. When I called, they pretended like they never had anybody compain about the rivets!

I also called SOA, and they said they could not really do anything to help me out.

So I called back Shortline, and they decided to move the WRX badge over to cover it up.

Maybe I will try to get it filled in and painted instead.

The Nerve! :monkey:
