Default Need help w/ 06 wrx not starting

I'm working on a friends 06 wrx, witch drove fine going to work. She comes out at night to leave and no start. Parts store told her it needed a new battery, even though it had good power with the old battery. But her boss put the new one in anyways. No start again..So on the tow truck to my shop.

So from doing my research on here, another guy was told to disconnect the negative cable to re set the ECU. Now I had do do this once on a 05 RS, a few years back. I had to pump the clutch and and turn the key, or something like that.

Can anyone tell me the proper way to re set the ECU on a 06wrx?
Thanks in Advance

ya there is enough fuel. I tested the fuel pressure and it was 80-85 psi. Called subaru and it's supposed to be a 50-60 psi. But ya it's got fuel and getting to the intake manifold.
