We'll keep you all posted and the guys over at Procomp Race Systems are going to do their own round of testing as well on a stock trans, so you'll be able to see a little bit of independent R&D there. I'll keep the updates coming and I have a few of you signed up already.

Here is a sneak peak at the pre production prototype that we are just finishing. We made a couple other sets of plates in the past that we have been using but they weren't as well designed as this latest set. These are just so we are 100% sure the fitment is perfect and that you are getting the best product!

This set was just cut up quickly at the shop and definitely not as nice as the production versions will be!

Just have to weld them up real quick.

We will get them on a trans for some more pics in the next couple days!

Do you mind doing another group buy later? because I'm really interested but i want everyone to finish their research and testing before i buy it.

oh ya one more thing, how much is it for a set of your gearset for a 5spd? from the video it can hold around 500whp?

Currently we have about 5 more group buys that will follow this one, but there's a chance we might offer another one later on this summer after a few more sets get into the hands of shops, high hp car owners, etc.

Correct, the prototype Blast Plates and MP trans combo held 507 whp on our local mustang dyno. That dyno is 12-13% off from our local Dynojet where it would have made (assuming all things are equal, based off 12% increase on peak numbers, etc, etc, etc) somewhere in the neighborhood of 565whp and 430 wtq. If you were to send us your transmission, it would be split for inspection, new gearset installed, buttoned back up and crated for shipping for $3200.00. We would offer a trans/Blast Plate/fluid package if all items were purchased together.

It's really hard to test this product for "results" on a bench, even though other tests have been run in the past, so real world testing is where the driver now comes into play in real world situations and we feel real results are found. More to come!

Hey everybody just want to let you know that my 2011 wrx will be a guinea pig over at Procomp Race Systems with Lou..we will be installing a custom rotated kit with a Precision 5858 turbo..the car is on stock transmission and motor as of now..we will be testing the blast plates in the near future..hopefully 2-3weeks. The only change to the transmission will be the addition of the blast plates and an aftermarket clutch..stay tuned I will be creating a build journal on NASIOC as well for others to follow if they like..

Very interested in this. I had the 650 HP PAR gear set installed in my 5 MT about 3 months ago. In that time I've run 3 autocross events and my 2nd gear now sounds like there's a bunch of gravel in the case (other gears sound fine). I'm very disappointed to say the least. Probably going to have to pull my transmission down (again!) and see if the teeth on 2nd gear are damaged. I'm wondering if these plates would be worth installing while I have the transmission down? I haven't missed any shifts while competing, but I do launch aggressively and shift to 2nd gear aggressively as well. These plates sound very promising, but im a little apprehensive due to the newness of them.

That would be the perfect time to install the plates and they can only help you especially for high shock situations like autox launches and hard shifting. I've broken many 5 speed transmissions in the past due to autox and legal airport drag racing, and I wished we had this product in development during my wrx's 5 speed years. While the trans is out, and for under $300, you can't go wrong especially for the type of racing you do and it will enhance the performance of your 5 speed trans.

I know the test vehicle is rotated, but couldn't tell you much more than that.
Ryan? I'm looking to go rotated in the future as well, so I'm eager to know as well.
