Edit: I was just reviewing this with my design guy and he said that he is pretty certain the trans will have to be removed from the car to complete the install. This is due to the length of the bolts that join the transmission together and they will most likely not clear the trans tunnel. The prototypes were installed with the transmission out of the car. We will verify these details.
I'm willing to make #10 on the list but if the length of the bolts that join the transmission together will most likely not clear the trans tunnel then how did you get the transmission installed with the blast plates attached?

What type of modification to the trans tunnel are we talking about?

Do you have pictures of:
The plates installed on the transmission out of the car?
The plates installed on the transmission installed in the car?

What is the cut-off date for this group buy?

The bolts are to long to clear the tunnel when removing them. When they are installed, there is no interference, just when removing the bolts to fit the plate in.

the bolts are too long to install or take out with the trans still in car, with it out of the car it would be no problem at all.

This is a wild assumption but my guess would be he contacted a high quality fastener company such as arp for example and had them custom made to his specs.

Very interested. I take it this requires no overhaul or gear oil removal? Can you show a pic of it installed?
Thanx

Ok put me on the list for this. Do you need to drop the trans to install these. Also pics with these installed would be nice like was saying before. Does it have any additional torque specs then stock?

I think reading comprehension helps. Every question has been answers 5 time now. It's not rocket science. It's two plates that sandwich the transmission with bolts that go all the way threw to stop it from tranny shocking. Aka slipping and breaking stuff. Transmission has to be out.

Ok, here's a summary:

- GB end at the end of the day tomorrow (May 1st)
- trans must be move down/removed to install the long bolts that hold the plates together
- no trans tunnel mods
- we work with many manufacturers and we have any hardware we want or need available to us or it can be custom made for what we need
- we are working on having pics later today/tomorrow of the production plates installed on a mock up trans for your viewing (were waiting for our specific spacers to come in that we had created for this project)

Looking at this pic you can see how hard it would be to install these long bolts thru the trans while installed

Sorry I missed that one. The stock trans car has been moving up in turbo size from a stock td04, to a tuned td04, to a 16g, to now an 18g (this month). More hp, more tq, more dyno testing and harder driving. We don't have a big turbo, bone stock trans car in the stable, but the guys at Procomp I think will handle those duties.
