Nope, just Hamilton seemed pissed, that's all.

Its not a penalty because both cars were behind and chasing, and could have lifted to avoid going off but kept their foot flat. |

Stu, what d3vo said. Rubens was alongside Schumacher when he got forced into the wall.
Lewis and Fernandon were behind Rosberg when they took too the outside to go around him. Rosberg blocked (allowed), Schumacher pushed (not allowed). |

I didn't get that from the text, thanks. Still doesn't answer my second question though.

d3vo I must say that the Bahraineans (sp) were very good with the F1 situation this weekend.
I apologies on my remark on the other thread. |

Another great race to what is shaping up to be a great season! Kudos to Vettel, that took some mighty driving to hold Kimi off. Obviously big congrats to Lotus, they were flying out there. Happy for Grosjean to get the result he was so clearly capable of. I loved Webber's coy response to Brundle asking about the slot they covered on his car. That was some pretty racy stuff from Rosberg and since his move was deemed legal, I can't see how Hamilton passing him off the track was legal. I agree, make a call during the race. Referees are making calls in an instant in other sports. Here they review video and data and still say "We'll figure it out later".
I was surprised Diresta's 2 stopper worked after seeing how badly Kimi got slaughtered at the end of China. Webbo's gotta make something happen sometime. 4th is nice and consistent, but he needs more than that. McLaren; NelsonHaHa.jpg |

they wait to "figure it out later" precisely because they must look at the data to make the correct call. From laymans view, it looks like Rosberg chopped Alonso and Hamilton - but looking at other angles etc, it clearly was not a penalty-worthy move. But imagine if they had screwed up the call during the race and dropped him way out of the points, only to say "hey, sorry" afterwards.
Its better to let them race unless it is very clear that a penalty is deserved. The problem with Knee-jerk reaction calls was illustrated in the GP2 race: ruined Fabio Leimer's win. Drive through penalty while he was leading because he lapped a faster lap when there was a yellow in one sector - except he actually had slowed through that sector but was faster for the rest of the lap but this was only determined AFTER the race was done and dusted. Rubbish. |
