Default ej20g remove the air box silencer ok?

Is it ok to remove the silencer on the airbox? Also the rubber tube on the silencer. What is it exactly and should I tap into the replacement piping to keep it on? Thnks

Yes it's fine to remove it. Yes you need to plumb those rubber hoses back in. They are the return lines for the bypass valve and the boost control solenoid.

Really doesn't matter much if you are going to dyi. Just make sure it's similar diameter and won't suck closed or leak.

The guys with legacy turbos use a metal coffee cup.

I just used a rubber coupler on mine.
