Search for Raceland Coilovers. I know a couple people running those in their 2nd gen legacy's and they were just looking for a good drop. They're cheaper so the quality isn't awesome, but their customer service seemed to take care of them.

If you want a selection of coilovers, you'll want to look at 02-05 Impreza setups, as most websites don't list them for the Legacy (even though they work).

I'm having a very hard time finding lowering springs for my 03 legacy L sedan online. Are you saying 02 to 05 impreza springs will fit? We're can I buy some springs to lower my car 1.5"-2"? I'm about to check the sites sited above.

No, the BE/BH chassis uses a different rear suspension than the BD/BK/BG chassis. You'll need to look at BE/BH or BP/BL specific products.

Have a question about suspension too. I have a 98 Legacy 2.5GT. What do I need to get STI springs to work? Do I need to change the top hats? What struts will work?

Or would it be easier just to get a WRX GC8 setup?

Technically, without modification, only 04 STi struts will work. 05+ require some modification to the car, which isn't recommended. I wouldn't really recommend STi springs without the struts. 02-05 WRX suspension isn't a bad way to go. If you get the full 04 STi setup (struts, springs, tophats) you can drop them right in (alignment of course).

I would also recommend you read through FAQs (suspension one especially) as there's a ton of info there.

Thanks. I know you shouldn't use springs without appropriate struts, and that's kind of my problem. I bought a set of STI swift springs and did some research and found a way to make them work, but that was last year and I can't find out how to do it again. Right now I'm leaning towards selling the swift springs and buying some stock WRX springs and KYB GR 2 struts. I've read through FAQs but can't seem to find the exact answer I need.
