Default Best NW dealer to buy 2015 WRX?

Hi,

I hope it's ok to post this thread here. I'm going to try and order a 2015 WRX from a local dealer (Seattle area) for $500 below invoice. If anyone knows of a dealer that may do this please let me know. Thanks!

I think you will find that tough, especially in Seattle. There might be quite a few people line up to buy these and if that happens you'll be lucky to get one at MSRP.

I'm just hoping most people around here think they are too ugly. Then we are both in luck!

Thanks for the input everyone. I just ran across this from another thread and will try to confirm. Supposedly there is a big dealer in Colorado Springs that is offering 1k under invoice for members of our NASIOC forum. Question is would it be worth the extra cost of flying out to get and drive back. Seems like it would be roughly a 2.5k savings more or less for most trim packages. I cut and pasted the below from another thread here and added a link to more info. I still need to confirm all this.

------------------------------------

So with Clint...to summarize...

WRX, 3 Flavors

Base 24.6K

Premium 26.6K
(2K for: Sunroof, heated seats/mirrors, rear spoiler, fog lights, wiper deicer, illuminated vanity mirrors, leather shifter & shift boot with red stitching)

Limited 28K
(3.4K for: Premiuim + leather seating, LED Auto Lights, power DRIVER seats, welcome lighting, black headlight bezel, & drivers seat rear pocket)

Note 1: Does not include tax, tag, dealer fee (about $390), and transport for those outside Colorado

Note 2: Premium & Limited grace you with the ability to get the HK & NAV, Limited Push button start & Keyless entry

For a $1k savings financed over the life of the loan? No chance it is worth flying down.

What are the local dealers pricing them at? Do you even know?

Not sure if he could do it for 2015. But David North, the internet sales person at Carter Subaru did $500 below invoice for my friends 14' WRX. Great guy, bought my STi from him.

Just started this discussion with Tony at carter Ballard. He has quoted me at 29020 for a 15 premium MT, not really a deal, but not gouging over msrp either. Also, if anyone wants a pdf of the option packages and color/trim combos, pm me and i can email it

By the way, what is everyone's favorite color? I'm driving myself nuts trying to pick one... they all look great to me. Kinda partial to the two blue choices, but white may be a little more mature to fit my 45 years :-)

Mike Scarff in Auburn usually has the lowest prices without needing to haggle.

That was including all dealer fees and charges, but not tax title and license.

Best offer so far is $500 over invoice, Walker's in Renton.
Scarf in Auburn $1000 over invoice.
Will keep checking around.

it is in your best interest to find out what invoice cost is for the way you want your wrx configured, and make sure you and the dealer are on the same page. a lot of people throw around the term invoice but they never really know what it means (or what the actual invoice price is) - some dealers pick up on that and exploit it.

check with roy robinson in marysville as well.

Just be patient and wait (unless something happened to your current car and you need one NOW) You will let the other people work the bugs out of the new models and you will pay less once the initial surge in demand wears off.

Thanks for tips. I called RR and the guy sounded pretty clueless like most of the ones I have called. I left them my contact info though.

I actually do need something pretty soon for work. It's either this or the 2015 Golf/GTI.

Yeah, i have no real plans to preorder or try to rush to get one myself. I want to see some of the colors in person first at the very least. Maybe by fall. We'll see how long the patience holds out.

from the pictures I've seen the new wrx/sti looks too soft in the lighter colors. the aggressive lines seem to show a lot better on black/dgm..

Stay away from walkers. Every other dealer in the greater Seattle area is fine, but stay away from walkers. Feel free to search if you want to read horror stories yourself.

I'm leaning towards the dgm or the blue, always been partial to wrb. But pictures just don't do justice, can't wait until i can see some in person.
